Fresh Rose Face Mask Review
Product Purchased by IMBB
Today, I will be reviewing another item purchased by IMBB for me for review purpose. It’s the Fresh Rose Face Mask.
What it is:
A hydrating and toning mask with a cooling gel formula infused with pure rosewater and real rose petals. Historically romantic and classically fragrant, the rose flower yields a precious oil brimming with nutrients that naturally soothe the skin and stimulate the senses. Infused with 50 percent pure rosewater and an average of two-and-a-half roses per jar, this unique mask restores radiance and suppleness to all skin types. The addition of cucumber extract and aloe vera reduce inflammation and calm the skin, while green tea helps brighten and protect.
What else you need to know:
“One of the most recognizable flowers across cultures, the rose is associated with romance and royalty and has been the basis of beauty rituals for centuries. Ancient Roman courts were decorated with garlands to stimulate the senses, and queens from Cleopatra to Marie Antoinette used it for perfume. With today’s technology, we are able to refine the purity of the extract, making it even more effective in skincare. The flower yields an incredibly precious oil brimming with nutrients that help to hydrate, soothe, tone, and restore the skin, and the scent adds a unique mood-enhancing quality to the experience.” —Lev Glazman, Fresh Co-founder

My Experience with Fresh Rose Face Mask:
This is my first product from Fresh brand. They are renowned for making excellent skin care products which are mostly natural and formulated without harmful ingredients like parabens, etc. One of the best sellers among their line was this rose face mask which prompted me to buy this and review it for you.
Let me tell you a little bit about my skin and how this product fared for me. I have mostly dry skin which tends to get very flaky in the winters. During the summers, my skin tends to lean more toward normal-dry. I do not suffer from any oiliness or problems like open pores.
Since my skin is more towards the dry side, I was pretty sure this hydrating rose mask would take care of all my skin care needs which it does amazingly.
This product come is a heavy tub packaging with a twist cap and a protector cover lid under it. The tub is not travel friendly at all and you need to be very careful and always keep the product upright as the mask inside is thin and runny in consistency and there are chances that it might leak and cause a mess. Also, the tub packaging is highly unhygienic and I do need to clean my hand thoroughly before I dip it in or use a spatula.
This light brown colored mask is very thin and runny, almost like a liquefied gel with tiny bits of rose petals floating. It spreads very easily and very little amount is required to cover the whole face with a thin layer. This mask does dry when applied in a thin layer, but still does remain very tacky to touch. If applied a thick layer, it does dry fast. Suggested use is to keep for 5- 10 minutes, but I do leave it on longer and have found it to be more effective without suffering any issue.
The mask when initially applied feels very soothing and cooling on the skin. There is no tingling feeling. It will work great for you if you have sensitive or irritated skin as it immediately provided relief and refreshes skin. I would not recommend this product to people with oily skin since it does nothing to do oil control and the immense hydration it provided might only make it worse by making oily skin greasier. It does rinse off very easily without leaving behind any residue. My skin does feel much hydrated and I do not need to follow up with any moisturizer. My skin also feels very refreshed and I also notice a glow on my face which does not last long. The hydration however does last for a full day and even my makeup glides on after using this mask once in the morning. This product can also be used every day and never caused me to breakouts.
This product does have a very strong floral scent of roses, but it does smell somewhat medicine-y to me, but its not too unpleasant either. If you have a sensitive nose you may find this to be very bothersome.
Overall, I do like this product but I also feel it is very expensive and does not give exceptional benefits. The quantity provided is huge and will last me all year and I am sure I will use this product all year long as in winters it will help provide much needed hydration back into my parched skin and in summers it can provided a cooling refreshing boost to the skin at the end of the day.
This product is not for oily skin or if you suffer from skin issues like pigmentation or open pores as it does nothing for those.
Do pick this product if you would like to splurge and I am sure you won’t be disappointed but I do not think it is an absolute must have product.
