The weather is changing pretty quickly and my face washes get changed even quickly! Recently, I came across a lot of Garnier face washes and luckily all were designed especially for my combination and acne prone skin type, so I picked quite a few to try out. This time I picked a daily wash rather than a scrub to try because the scrubs really make the skin dry, which is not suitable at all in this weather. Enjoy the review.
Price: Rs 650 for 200 ml (A lot cheaper in the US)

My Experience with Garnier Skin Naturals PureActive Fruit Energy Daily Energising Gel Wash:
Starting from how it looks, it looks damn refreshing and energising the way they claimed. It comes in an orange see-through sleek yet fat bottle which is totally loaded with the gel wash. It has fresh fruits all over it with the name and skin type written over it. The bottle is accompanied along with a pump nozzle which is the main reason for me picking this over the others. The pump nozzle also has a lock system which makes it flawless as far as packaging is concerned and very travel-friendly too.
It is designed for oily and skin prone to imperfections which is exactly my skin type. Just half press of the pump is required at a time because it lathers up very well; hence, a small quantity is required for a single use. The gel wash comes is almost clear with a slight hint of peach to it. The consistency is runny; hence, we need to be careful while pumping it out because it might just give much more quantity than required.
It has a very nice mild citrusy scent with a sweet blend of grapefruit and pomegranate. But I had expected it to be a bit more citrusy and refreshing since it is an energising wash. The smell was very pleasant but not something that could wake me up. I did not get a zingy sensation on my skin which is why I wouldn’t completely agree to their claim. It was gentle on my skin and lathers up nicely if diluted a little with water or it would create very gel type lather.
It cleans my skin very well leaving it bright and refreshed. It removes all the excess oil and sebum from my face making it oil-free. My face remained kind of matte for the initial 3 hours, and then a little oil started to ooze. I started to see a good improvement in my skin’s texture and the imperfections were actually looking a lot lesser but I think any face wash would have brought such changes, so nothing that I would applaud it about. It did make my face look healthy an took away the dull cells and also cleaned the pores very well, not completely in one go, but with time the nose area looked clear without a lot of white-heads. I couldn’t notice any difference in my pore size although. Also, my pimple size wasn’t really reducing so I think the presence of Salicylic acid is pretty low.
Also it is not suitable for dry skin because I did get a little stretchy feeling initially after using this, but it did not make my skin dry. But I have combination skin, so it was okay. It will make the dry skin drier, so dry-skin beauties not for you! Overall, I think this is a decent one but not worth the money.

Will I Recommend/Repurchase Garnier Skin Naturals PureActive Fruit Energy Daily Energising Gel Wash?
No, although it did a decent job. The reason being that it wasn’t really “Energising” and it did not wake me up! Also I have tried some excellent face cleansers from Garnier that prove beneficial to my skin in a lot of ways. Pick this only if you want mild cleansing each day.
I got the scrub from the same range, and will be reviewing it super soon.
