My experience with Glamglow Supercleanse Daily Treatment Cleanser:
I have had a very good experience with the GlamglowSuperMud mask (review of which will be coming up shortly) and was very excited when this new product launched in the market. It is a cleanser from the same supermud range. Glamglow has 4 variety of masks(YouthMud, ThirstyMud, PowerMud and SuperMud) , for now one the SuperMud cleanser is available for sale, but the other 3 variant will be also be retailing soon.
It is a huge bottle resembling men’s shaving foam bottle. It has the same type of can, cap and dispenser. I love the pump dispenser as it helps disperse the right amount of product, neither less nor more. 1 1/2-2 pumps are good enough for me to use on my entire face so I believe the bottle will last me a good amount of time.
This cleanser is supposed to be rubbed over dry skin then one is supposed to add some water little by little to make it into a foam. The foam is not super lathery but it feels like a creamy cleaner. It runs over skin easily as there are no exfoliating particles, hence it is not harsh at all.
It does live up to its claim. It thoroughly cleanses my face of all dirt and oil and makes it feel super clean. Even though I have dry skin, I feel like I can use this once a day and my face is not stripped of moisture. It has not made my face feel parched or have me running in search of a moisturizer.
I always use a makeup remover to get rid my makeup (which I recommend you do too) before washing my face which is why I cannot say this will be as effective in removing stubborn makeup.
It has a slight cooling sensation while using, which also lingers for a couple of minutes post wash which is quite refreshing. It has not aggravated my hormonal acne that I have been suffering from lately, on the contrary I feel like it is helping it diminish slowly.
My husband who has very oily/ acne prone skin also loves using this. It also cleans his face of oil and helps mattify his face for a couple of hours. With his skin type, he can use this 1-2 times a day without any issue of dryness. It has not helped his acne diminish though, like it did for me.
It has a strong menthol – eucalyptus type scent which I like, but sensitive noses might consider this a con.
Overall this is very good product. I do feel normal – oily skin types will absolutely love this. Even dry skin types can use this but they need to careful not to go overboard in using this multiple times a day.
Pros of Glamglow Supercleanse Daily Treatment Cleanser:
• Gives a skin-deep cleansing.
• Removes all trace of oil and grease from skin.
• Does not make my face super dry if I only use this once a day.
• Oily skin will be able to use this 1-2 times a day without fear.
Cons of Glamglow Supercleanse Daily Treatment Cleanser:
• Strong menthol like scent which some may not enjoy.
• Does not lather much instead, turns into a creamy foam upon contact with water..
