Herbal Essences Break’s Over Anti Breakage Shampoo-Review
Today I shall be reviewing a shampoo which I got few months back when I had terrible hair fall and nothing was working. At that moment, I was ready to try anything and everything and had got this shampoo then. Please read on further to find if it helped me to curb the problem.
water, sodium laureth sulphate, citric acid, cocamidopropyl betaine,ppg-2 hydroxy ethyl coco/iso stearamide, sodium chloride, sodium lauryl sulphate, sodium citrate, dimethiconol, sodium xylenesulfonate,fragrance,tea-dodecylbenzenesulfonate,polyquaternium-10,sodium benzoate,laureth-23,tetra sodium edta, hydrolysed silk, lavender flower/leaf/stem extracts, methylchloroisothiazolinone/methylisothiazolinone.
The formula with an anti-breakage potion strengthens to help prevent more breaks. Use me: love that lather, rinse and repeat and you’ve got new found strength.
INR 150 for 300 ml.
My take on the product:
It is a light lavender shade, translucent liquid which comes in a curvaceous bottle. The bottle has a youth appeal to it owing to the shape. It has a green flip-top cap. The packaging as such is practical and the hole dispenses the right amount of shampoo. The shampoo has a medium consistency not too thick neither too runny. It lathers well because it has the presence of SLS in it. It cleanses the scalp moderately and doesn’t weigh down the hair. One rinse is enough for a clean scalp. I have been using it for the past one and a half months and I have not noticed any reduction in the hair fall. It is primarily an anti breakage shampoo and it does not prevent any breakage. Though it fared badly on the hair fall reduction claim but it did give my hair a shiny and a bouncy look (my hair is naturally wavy) It smells faintly of lavender and the fragrance stays only till the hair is being washed and wet and after that it dissipates. All in all it is an average shampoo which shall do the cleaning part well but do not expect it to control hair breakage/ fall.
Pros of Herbal Essences Break’s over Anti Breakage Shampoo:
- Soothing faint smell of lavender.
- Flip-top sturdy packaging.
- Cleans the scalp well.
- One rinse is enough, though two may be required for dirty/ oiled hair.
- Gives shine to the hair.
- Does not weigh down the hair.
Cons of Herbal Essences Break’s over AntiBreakage Shampoo:
- Did not control hair breakage/ hair fall.
- Has SLS in it.
3 out of 5
Will I repurchase?
No, I will not. This shampoo did not solve my hair fall problem at all. Though I know shampoo alone can not be held responsible but this one claims to be an anti- breakage shampoo.
Do I recommend?
You may give it a try if you want a decent shampoo to cleanse your scalp but again do not go by the claims.
