Hello my favorite people,
Today, I am back with another gorgeous eye shadow from Inglot’s AMC Pure Pigment eye shadow range in #81. Read on to know how this eye shadow fared for me.
Highly concentrated loose colored powder that ranges from subtle to ultra-intense effects depending on application. The product contains sponge gourd oil and almost 90% pure pigment. Can be mixed with duraline to create liquid forms of all pigment colors. Please note: Pigments are sold by weight, not volume. Containers can appear to be less than full due to settling of the product.
Price and quantity:
INR 1000 for 2 grams.
18 months from the date of manufacturing.
My experience with Inglot #81 AMC Pure Pigment Eyeshadow:
These loose powder eye shadows come in a see-through plastic tub/jar. The jar is not tiny but sturdy enough for travelling purposes. It has a shiny black screw lid which fits the jar snugly. Also, there is a sticker on the bottom of the jar which has the shade name and some other random details written on to it. I simply adore this lovely packaging. I have a handful of these eye shadows and they make my vanity look stylish and very vibrant. All in all, the packaging of this product is definitely a winner for me.
I would describe this shade as somewhere between red and onion pink. It has a large number of tiny pink/red shimmer particles which are not at all chunky but, reflect the light quite perfectly. I believe that Inglot has not included any such shade in this AMC Pure pigment range that would be suitable for daywear. Same is the case with this shade. It is a very chic party shade for evenings but, a complete no-no for daytime or office wear. In my opinion, this particular shade will look good on a majority of Indian skin tones. I am someone who simply cannot carry red hued eye shadows and frankly speaking when I first swatched this shade at the store, it reminded me of the song Gulabi aankhein jo teri dekhi….. However I was quite determined to buy at least one red/pink eye shadow and I must say this one did not disappoint me.
If you are someone who is a party animal or someone who loves collecting different eye shadows in different hues then, you must checkout this baby once. However, if you are an office going girl or someone who wants to keep their makeup collection minimal then, I would suggest that you give this shade a miss. Also, this particular shade is just perfect for bridal eye makeup.
Texture and pigmentation:
This eye shadow has a very fine texture which is easy to blend. The powder looks moist in the jar and doesn’t float away in the air when I open it up. Also, this particular shade looks more intense when used wet instead of dry. I found the texture of this eye shadow pigment quite nice and easy to use for beginners. Also, it is insanely pigmented and the coverage is buildable.
This particular shade stayed on my non-oily eye lids for 7+ hours. I always recommend and emphasize the importance of a primer underneath these eye shadows to increase their staying power, make the color pop and prevent fall-outs and creasing.
So summing up the pros and cons,
Pros of Inglot #81 AMC Pure Pigment Eyeshadow:
• Packaging is a winner!
• Lovely muted red shade for those who are afraid to sport actual red Gulaabi eyes.
• Will suit a majority of skin tones.
• Has a very fine texture.
• Insanely pigmented
• Staying power is quite decent (on my non-oily eye lids).
• Coverage is buildable.
• Loose powder doesn’t float away in air.
Cons of Inglot #81 AMC Pure Pigment Eyeshadow:
• Prone to crease and fallout if not used with a primer underneath.
Will I repurchase/do I recommend Inglot #81 AMC Pure Pigment Eyeshadow?
Yes, I will repurchase these eye shadows in different shades this time. I do recommend you to try out this shade if you love partying or collecting eye shadows. However, if you are an office going girl or someone who doesn’t like loud makeup then, you can definitely give this shade a miss.
