Today, I am going to review Inglot #399 Pearl Eyeshadow for you all. By now, you all must have known my love for Inglot products, especially their eyeshadow and lipstick refills, which is a must-try for everyone!
Inglot #399 Pearl Eyeshadow is a muted pale pink with a touch of purple. I got this one way back last year. At that time, I desperately wanted to get Inglot 407 Pearl, which I reviewed earlier as that was an exact dupe of MAC Expensive Pink, but it was out of stock, so I tried the next closest eyeshadow. I saw some online swatches of 399 Pearl and it looked pretty pink, so I bought it.
The color #399 Pearl is a pretty but muted pink with a hint of purple and silver. The first time I saw this shadow, I was very disappointed as I thought this color will not show up at all on my dark eyelids, but surprisingly, this works wonderfully well for me! Even though its muted, it gives a beautiful finish to my eyes and brightens them up. It can be used during day time as well as night time, though for night time, I find it a bit pale.
I use it as an overall lid color and it works well for me. As it is muted, its perfect for office wear too. A wash of this color on eye lids with eye liner and I am done! The staying power of this when compared to other Inglot eyeshadows is not that great. Without primer or base, it lasts only for 5 hours, after which it starts to fade. Though I have not experienced any creasing with this. Like all Inglot eyeshadows, the texture is amazingly smooth and applies really well. The pigmentation again is good, though it may not show up well on pale skin.
All in all, its a pretty eyeshadow for office wear and perfect for girls who do not like a lot of color on their eyes, but still want to brighten up the look!
Swatches in different lights
This is how it looks on me, I have used #399 Pearl over entire lids and #407 just at the outer corner.
