It’s Skin The Fresh Mask Sheet Pomegranate Review

I recently went on a mask sheet shopping spree and bought a bunch of mask sheets. Today, I am going to review Pomegranate mask sheet from It’s Skin. This mask belongs to their The Fresh range and this particular pomegranate mask comes under the medium range. The other two from this range are Rose and Honey. All the masks from this range are supposed to give moderate hydration and you can choose the mask according to your skin type.

The packaging is similar to their other masks and it has the ingredients list in English at the back on a sticker, but the other information is in Korean only.

The mask itself is a thick cotton type of material. Thin masks adhere better to the skin, and they are very comfortable to wear. But thick masks too are super great if combined with the right essence. The mask was easy to unfold and place on the face. The fitting of the mask was good. Since the mask was thick, it felt slightly stiff when I had to smoothen out the edges or push out the bubbles that were trapped. There were just too many bubbles in this mask though!

The essence was perfumed in this mask which was a bit heavy for me. I usually do not mind the perfumed aroma but this smell irritated my nose too much and I started sneezing. The essence was not very watery – it was a slightly thick translucent type. The essence felt so soothing on the skin as soon as the mask was applied.

After 20 minutes, I removed the mask and surprisingly, it was still a little bit wet. Most of the masks from this range had dried out so soon, even though I tried them all with almost the same outside temperature. So in that sense, this mask faired better.

The face still had a lot of essence too, which was wonderful and I had to pat it for a long time before it could be finally absorbed. But it was a little tacky at the end, which I gladly corrected with a moisturizer. The mask had given me a great amount of hydration and though it did not give any other benefit, it was good to see a well-hydrated plumped up the skin.

This mask claims ‘clean and vitality’ on the package. Though I am not sure how I am supposed to look for vitality, I could say that it did liven up the face a bit. It is all because of the hydration!

Overall, I liked this mask. Only if they could have given a few more drops of essence in that pouch and if the smell could be replaced, I would have loved it!
