Hi lovely readers!
This is my second J.Cat Beauty shimmer eye shadow (after Tangerine Light) and I am sure I would buy more shades from this range in future as well. Read further to know more about this product.
What it is:
Highly pigmented eye shadow that provides creaminess to the touch with a great color payoff. Very opaque and with wet brush gives foil finish.
What it does:
Effortlessly create your eyes with our Blinkle Shimmer Eyeshadow. Ranging from 12 different shades, neutrals to bold colors, fits every occasion. The pigments give your eyes a super-saturated look with hints of ultrafine shimmer. With every blink, the shimmer reflects the light and makes the eyes look desirable and sultry. Some of the bold, fearless shades make you want to go on a color convention. You can achieve a foil finish too with a wet brush.
How to use:
Apply the Blinkle Shimmer Eyeshadow with a flat synthetic eyeshadow brush all over the eyelid. Use the brush wet if you would like to achieve a foiled finish.
My Take on J.Cat Blinkle Shimmer Eyeshadow – Oh My Ruby:
Packaging: The product comes in a circular aluminum pan which is then set in a plastic case with a clear lid with the name of the product written on top and other info on the back side of the pan. It does not come with a brush or any other kind of applicator.
Texture: It is like a foil eye shadow and performs just like one, especially when used with a wet application brush. It does not appear powdery; it is blendable and color pigmentation can be build up as well but that is not needed because a single sweep gives a really good color payoff and in most cases would be enough.
Color: Oh my ruby is a peachy pink color which initially I didn’t like in pan as much as I wanted to but it looks pretty on my skin since it has warm undertones and doesn’t stand out in a garish way against my skin. This color is perfect for my skin tone and will suit most of us. This color can be worn solo or with a brown smoky eye look.
Pigmentation: Just one sweep gave the color in the swatch I photographed but it is not as good as the last shade I reviewed. The color can be build up slightly more and can be blended out with a light taupe or brown color.
Application: I used it on my lids and inner corner to add more definition to my eyes but it can also be applied on brow bone (light hand). I personally enjoy wearing it with brown or black smokey eye look because the two colours add a nice depth and definition to my eyes, and since it is so bright and sparkly it makes my eyes appear bigger and brighter.
Wear time: It stays for 8 to 9 hours and maybe more. It does stay put during the entire duration I wear it. One can increase the wear time if one uses a primer or apply it with a wet brush.
