I feel lip scrubs are essential because they help us create the perfect canvas for matte lipsticks. They also make our lips look smooth and polished. I have always used the concoction of granulated sugar with honey or oil to scrub my lips. Jeffree Star launched ‘Jeffree Star Velour Lip Scrubs’ and the beauty gurus created a lot of hype around these. So, I went ahead and bought the ‘Strawberry Gum’ variant.

My Experience with Jeffree Star Velour Lip Scrub Strawberry Gum:

Jeffree Star Velour Lip Scrub Strawberry Gum comes housed in a jar which contains 30 g of product. It is a plastic jar with a barbie pink cap on it. The cap has the brand logo on it with stars around the rim of the cap. The jar has a sticker around it with the brand name, ingredient list and flavour name.

The texture of the lip scrub is soft. It has sugar crystals and a combination of various oils. It contains vegan and edible ingredients. When you scrub your lips with this scrub it is not harsh on the lips. It removes all dead skin cells and makes your lips smooth and polished. It even hydrates your lips well.

This lip scrub is finely milled and I can apply this as a lip balm, swirl it around my lips and blot it off with a tissue. The sugar crystals are tiny but remove dead skin perfectly. This variant is called ‘Strawberry Gum’ and has a beautiful strawberry scent.

I love this range and I keep on collecting different variants every time the brand launches them. By the way, this scrub tastes delicious too since it is edible and at times a tiny amount slips into the mouth. You just need a small amount each time so this jar is going to last you ages.
