My Experience Jessica Custom Nail Colour- Intrigue
So the colour I had initially wanted was grey, I had told my mum about it, since that was the only colour I did not have in my collection (I think). So when she was at the salon getting her dose of gel nails done, she picked this amazing colour up for me, since that was the closest she could get to grey.
The colour is essentially a taupe, it has hints of grey, purple and brown undertones to it. Honestly I am a big fan of this colour, it is so pretty and unique. I don’t know exactly how to describe it, but its like the colour you can wear to work or college, but at the same time it is a definite head turner and so perfect for the fall season. The colour comes in Jessica’s classic packaging, no change there. It is a transparent, glass bottle with a black brush applicator. Despite the brush applicator not being flat, you are able to have full control of it in your hands and manoeuvre it as per your needs.
The formula of this nail paint was great, it did not bleed into my cuticles, nor was it a gooey mess.It was a joy applying this nail paint on my nails. You achieve full opacity with one coat, but it will be on the purple side with one coat and transit to a greyish colour as you build the colour. I actually went all out and applied 3 thin coats of it on my nails as I wanted it to look slightly more grey than purple, and I faced no issues of smudging or denting or texturising. It also dried really quickly, as I finished my second hand, my first was dried. So that was great! I never really like to apply top coats, and with this I had no need again. It has a cream finish, which I love and had a nice sophisticated sheen to it. It had a great staying power too, it lasted on my nails for a week, it would have been even longer if I had not removed it to wear a different colour.
