My Experience with Khadi Pure Herbal Walnut Shampoo:

Let’s begin with the packaging of the product. The shampoo comes in a large transparent plastic bottle. This clear bottle helps to keep an eye on the amount of the product left inside. The bottle closes with a black coloured flip top cap. The cap shuts very tightly and makes an audible click sound and ensures that the bottle is leak-proof and travel-friendly.

Khadi Pure Herbal Walnut Shampoo Packaging

The bottle has a label at the back, which bears the product description, ingredients list and other necessary information about the product. Overall, the packaging is nice, sturdy and travel-friendly. This shampoo is off-white in colour. The consistency of this shampoo is very runny. Its watery consistency makes the product flow from the bottle difficult to control. So, you should be careful while squeezing out the product.

I usually take 2-3 pumps to thoroughly cleanse my medium length hair. The quantity required is a bit more since it has a runny texture. It has a very strong medicinal fragrance which I don’t like at all. It smells really bad and the fragrance lasts for about 2 hours on the hair after you have taken shower. It could be a serious concern for sensitive noses.

Khadi Pure Herbal Walnut Shampoo Ingredients

One thing about the product which deserves bonus points is that it is SLES free and does not contain parabens. So, it is a chemical free product and is all naturally made. The reason I love Khadi products is that they are fully organic and do not cause any harmful effects to the lustrous tresses. Now, let’s talk about the results noticed after using this product.

Firstly, this shampoo has a gentle formula and is very much apt for everyday hair wash. During summers, our scalp needs regular washing because it starts smelling badly from unwanted sweat and accumulates dirt and impurities. When you need hair washing on a regular basis, something that is mild on the scalp that works pretty well as a hair cleanser is highly desirable. So, Khadi Walnut Shampoo definitely has an upper hand here compared to other chemical-loaded shampoos available.

The formula spreads easily on the scalp. It lathers well and effectively cleanses my oily scalp. It is super foamy as a shampoo. I need about 2-3 washes to rinse off the product thoroughly from my hair. It removes dirt and grime from the hair very effectively. It also removes excess sebum and keeps my hair oil-free during summer. I love the bathing experience because it makes me feel super fresh and gives mess-free hair.

After shampooing my hair, the freshness remains intact for about 2 days. Is the product successful in maintaining strong hair?? Well, for me it has not caused any hair fall so far. After combing, I found very minimal hair fall which can be considered negligible. The product claims to enhance the natural shine of the hair which I feel is true. It has made my hair more glossy and lustrous. It has become smoother and softer than before. I noticed a visible change in the texture of my hair in just 3 washes.

It has also become easy to handle frizziness with this shampoo. It controls hair from getting frizzy, so I can skip using a serum or a conditioner. But if you have super-frizzy hair, you would have to follow up with a serum post-shower to prevent it from getting tangled. My hair becomes thin and limp during summer, but this adds a natural bounce to my hair and shows decent volume to it. This does not make my hair feel dry rather it nourishes my hair naturally and provides good nourishment of walnut extracts.

Walnut is considered to be good as a natural face scrub. I am sure its exfoliation properties are also beneficial in arresting itchy scalp problems. Post using this shampoo, my itchy scalp due to dirt and sweat accumulation feels relaxed and rejuvenated. It is perfect for all seasons and provides decent hydration to the hair. As a result, my hair has revived from its dull texture and has come back to life in this dry weather of summer.

Khadi Pure Herbal Walnut Shampoo Swatch

Overall, this is a mild shampoo and is suitable for daily use during summer. It is good for all hair types and does not cause hair breakage. Plus, it has natural extracts which give it additional preference as a gentle hair cleanser. I have no issues with this other than the strong medicinal smell. If you have no issues with smelly shampoos, you can give this a try.
