Korres Mango Butter Lipstick in Peach Review
As I write this review, I am brimming with enthusiasm, happiness and cheerfulness and you would be amazed that the reason behind this sudden surge of cheeriness is a small phone call that I received today morning! Today, I got a call from a reader of my blog. I knew her earlier when she contacted me to associate with her for a small start up venture of tribal women. I was very impressed with her social responsibility and readily agreed, but today, she called up for a writing assignment. That is when she told me that she reads my articles not only on my blog but also on IMBB and she told me how she thoroughly enjoys my DIYs and my reviews. This is the best thing that could happen to me in the early morning. I had just woken up when she called up and I heard from a woman who liked my writing on IMBB! IMBB is sure an avenue to get your talent noticed. 😀
So, Sharmi, today’s post is for you! Muaaahh.
I got this lovely lipstick from Korres – a brand I totally adore.
An ultra-conditioning lipstick that combines sheer color with brilliant, high shine. The sheer, lightweight formula gives a hint of color with a glossy finish. Mango Butter in the formula smoothes and moisturizes lips. SPF10.
The best part about most of Korres products are – they have NO Parabens, NO Sulfates, NO Synthetic Fragrances, NO Petrochemicals, NO Phthalates, NO GMOs, NO Triclosan. Features of Mango butter (as claimed by korres.com) – Rich in precious nutrient substances, mango fruit is a particularly sought-after ingredient in contemporary cosmetology. Mango butter melts at body temperature and is easily absorbed by the skin, leaving a pleasant sensation. Thanks to its moisturising and healing properties, mango butter is often found in beauty products that are designed to naturally prevent moisture loss. Even in extreme conditions, such as heat-waves, severe cold, prolonged exposure to the sun, or time spent in dry, ventilated spaces, mango butter protects lips effectively and offers a healthy shine. Mango is the fruit of the tropical tree Magnifera indica that originates in southeast Asia but is now also cultivated in several tropical and subtropical countries.
My Experience with Korres Mango Butter Lipstick in Peach:
I love it, absolutely. Just that I wish it had a few more features like better staying power and a better pigmentation and I swear I would not use any other lipstick ever! The lipstick is not peachy but rather pink. It is called peach, but don’t know why. It is more of a pink color which is slightly light pink or nude pink you can say. There is nothing coral in this shade. It suits me very well and I think it would suit every woman.
This gives an amazing sheen to lips without any glitter which I adore. Since it is formulated with mango butter, it is extremely or rather heavenly moisturizing. I kind of love using it as a lip balm. It glides on like silk and gets absorbed instantly. Good thing is that it does not bleed given that it is quite moisturizing in nature.
Only problem is that it is not pigmented enough, but maybe that is just this color. Maybe other bright shades have optimum pigmentation. Also, it hardly stays, does not stay on for more than 2 hours! Again, I give it the benefit of doubt. Since this is a light color, it fades away without leaving a layer. Maybe other dark shades fade leaving a tint behind.
But whatever it is, I love it!
Pros of Korres Mango Butter Lipstick in Peach:
- Heavenly moisturizing.
- Gives awesome shine to lips.
- Glides on smoothly.
- Gets absorbed instantly.
- Lovely shade; would suit any skin tone.
Cons of Korres Mango Butter Lipstick in Peach:
- Not pigmented, but maybe it is meant to be light pink in shade.
- Does not stay for long.
If it stays an hour longer than how it does now, I would give it 5/5.
