I love liquid lipsticks, especially Sephora Collection Cream Lip Stains, Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipsticks and Kylie Matte Lip Kits. Recently, I picked up few ‘Lip Kits’ from Kylie Cosmetics and the one I will be reviewing today is called ‘Autumn’, which was a part of her fall range.

Lip Liner

My Experience with Kylie Cosmetics Lip Kit Autumn:

The Kylie Liquid Lipstick comes in a tube with a transparent front cutout from where you can see the colour. The name of the shade is printed at the bottom of the tube and the applicator is a standard doe foot applicator. The ‘Lip Kit’ also consists of a lip liner which comes housed in a black pencil with the brand name and shade name written in a reflective font. The end of the pencil has a coloured tip which makes differentiating the shade easier.

I was not a huge fan of Kylie’s Liquid Lipsticks because I felt they were very drying on my lips, but after Kylie reformulated her lipsticks, they are much more comfortable on the lips. The shade ‘Autumn’ is a beautiful peachy-nude shade and it would flatter a variety of skin tones. The consistency of the liquid lipstick is quite thin and pigmented. You need a single swipe to achieve full coverage. I feel the formula of this lipstick was improved as it doesn’t settle into the fine lines of my lips.

This shade is not patchy at all. The Kylie lipstick smells like cake batter; every time I smell this I feel like eating it. 😅 It takes less than a minute for the lipstick to dry down to a completely matte finish. It has a slight tackiness to it but is definitely transfer-proof once it’s fully dry. I wouldn’t say that it was not drying at all; I still need to add a little balm underneath before I apply it.

It does cling on to the dry patches of my lips, so I have to scrub my lips before applying this. ‘Autumn’ lasts 5 to 6 hours on my lips and is hard to take off. The best way to take it off is with olive oil. The shade that resembles ‘Autumn’ is Kat Von D Lolita 2. When it comes to Kylie Lip Pencil, it has one of the most amazing and comfortable formulas that I have tried. The lip pencil is creamy and smooth. It glides on effortlessly without any tugging or pulling.

The lip pencil is very pigmented, so you don’t need to go over and over again for the coverage. The only thing I hate about this lip pencil is that the lead of the pencil might be broken inside as it keeps moving back and forth inside the body of the pencil. I think that might be because of the creamy formula of the lip pencil. The shade of the ‘Autumn’ lip pencil is a spot on shade to the liquid lipstick. I think it will look stunning on everyone.

The thing that you have to keep in mind is that you need to exfoliate your lips before applying this since it clings on to the dry patches of the lips. The lip pencil feels very lightweight and comfortable on the lips and doesn’t dry out my lips. Not only the formula gets a thumbs up from my side even the staying power is great. I get 3 hours of wear time from the lip pencil alone, and with the lipstick, it lasts maybe 7 to 7.5 hours.
