L’oreal Hair Spa Smoothing CreamBath Review

L’oreal Hair Spa Smoothing Creambath Review

Hello beauties . 🙂

I am back with yet another hair care product review and this happens to be my favorite. :yahoo:

You must be aware of this product as this is used as the main base for hair spa in all the salons. You go for a hair spa and you are bound to see this. I’ve already mentioned earlier about my hair which has undergone rebonding three times and according to the hair dressers, hair spa is a must after any kind of hair treatment.

L’oreal Hair Spa smoothing cream bath

So as per their suggestion I started getting hair-spa sessions at the salon every alternate week. There is no doubt that it kept my hair very smooth and manageable but spending 1500 bucks every 15 days pinches a lot. :(( I must have thought of doing it at home so many times, but I am a lazy bum and It is a tedious job to do all the washing, massaging, hot towel wrapping thing by myself. And now that I was getting back my natural curls the spa thing was getting on my nerves. So I dragged myself to the store and got this with their ampoules for dry, frizzy and unmanageable hair. I don’t have the ampoules right now so I’ll be reviewing the cream bath only.

Over to the review

Price: 525 for 500 ml. :woot:
You see how they charge thrice the amount for a single session in the salons :spank: :spank:

Expiry: use before 30 months from date of manufacture.
What it claims
L’oreal Hair Spa smoothing cream bath review

Continue your personal hair-spa experience with this sensory massage service, after the sensory system 1 shampoo. This smoothing formula is based on purified water, catatonic smoothing agents and glycerin, to help control volume. The hair is soft, easy to manage and shiny-from root to tip.

Directions for use

As written on the tub

Mix 1 scoop of the smoothing cream bath with 1 vial of the selected scalp concentrate, using the spatula provided.post shampoo and towel drying, apply the mix with a brush, onto the scalp only. Next, take another scoop of cream bath only and work it into the mid lengths and end of the hair with your fingers. Comb through the entire length of the hair, before proceeding with the massage. Post massage, steam or wrap the head in a hot towel. Leave for ten minutes. Emulsify hair with Luke warm water. Towel-dry and finish treatment with the energizing scalp lotion.

Ingredients

L’oreal Hair Spa

As you can see it contains methyparaben.
My experience

L’oreal-Hair-Spa-smoothing-cream-bath

The consistency is quite thick, doesn’t drip. The smell is too strong for my nose while application. It stays for a while after but I like the mild lingering smell after wash.

L’oreal Hair Spa swatch

The first time I actually followed the directions :haanji: the result was good as expected. Second time I skipped the hot-towel part, 3rd time the whole massage part and used it just as the conditioner. I told you I am a lazy bum :methinks: .
So I invented a new method of application, so that I don’t have to move from bathroom to dressing so many times. The basic thought behind this was, since my hair is dry. It needs deep conditioning to make the frizzes go away. When our hair is wet it cannot absorb the conditioner very well as it is already saturated with water. That is why they ask to towel dry the hair.

This is how I prepared the pack next time.

I mixed equal amount of curd and cream bath in a bowl. Then added 1tsp hair oil in the mix. The pack was ready to use. (the strong smell is diluted too 😀 )

Instead of hair oil, apply this with a brush, 1 hr before you wash your hair. Massage the way you do with your oil, and then leave it on. Shampoo and condition as usual after the time. I did not know how it’ll turn out, but to my surprise the result was even better than the original procedure. Since then I have been using it like that only. It does not take extra time, and my hair gets its nutrition properly without me taking any extra pain. :yahoo: :yahoo:

Pros:

1. Hair feels really soft and manageable without frizz.
2. I use this every alternate week and it works great for my hair.
3. If you compare the price to the salon sessions it’s definitely very cheap.
4. The quantity is good and lasts a long time. So value for money is good. (you can see the amount left after almost a year’s use. )

Cons:

1. Contains paraben.
2. The smell would be too strong for many people.

My rating 4.5 out of 5

The final verdict
Yes. Definitely. I love the way my hair feels with its use. So all those people, wanting frizz free and manageable hair should definitely give this a try. :waytogo:

by the way one question…considering the length of your hair, how much curd and creambath would you mix?i have the same length as you hv in the pic… :)) :))

        1. The amount depends on ur hair type rima.like my hair is dry and absorbs everything quickly.so i need thoda jyada. Fir bhi h can try mixing 2 tsp of each first and thn if required make some later.just make sure its applied to each n every strand from toot to tip. :))

  26. can we use this without the scalp concentrate?
scalp concentrate just contains gycerin and is damn expensive…100 bucks for 1 vial!!
so why not just mix glycerin instead of wastin 100 rs!!

  27. Hi all
