Today I’ll be sharing a lip gloss but mind you, it’s not just any gloss! It’s a jellie gloss as they call it. There were many options available, but I picked up 3 lip glosses which I would use on an everyday basis- Venom, Coral pink and Splash Anyway, without any further ado, let’s get to reviewing it!

My Experience with L.A Colors Venom Jellie Shimmer and Sparkle Lip Gloss:
Packaging: This Jellie lip gloss comes in a rectangular packaging, which looks quite good! It has a black cap and the body is made out of plastic but looks like glass. The front displays the name of the product and the back displays the ingredients. The lip gloss is super sleek and very travel friendly. You can easily toss this in your hand bag and it won’t leak out or anything. The wand is cute and short. It has a slanted doe foot applicator which makes the application of the gloss easy. The wand spreads the gloss evenly on the lips.
Colour/Pigmentation: Venom looks like a dark, pinkish-red shade in the tube but is a beautiful deep pink colour, which is on the sheer side. It is very aptly named as Venom, because from the outside it does look vampy and dark. You can easily build up the colour as per your liking. I really love how gorgeous the shade is. I also love how you can easily wear this as a light stain on your lips as well as go in for a bold pout by using it on top of a lipstick. This shade will flatter all skin tones, which is a major plus of course!
Texture: This range is called ‘Jellie’ gloss and truly the texture is jelly-like. I have never seen such consistency of a lip gloss. It looks like liquid jelly and is super moisturising. It is just a little bit sticky, but that’s how a lip gloss should be. It spreads on evenly on the lips without tugging or pulling. It doesn’t look patchy at all. The gloss is neither too runny nor too thick. It has the appropriate consistency and it doesn’t feel heavy after applying the gloss.
Staying Power: Because of its consistency, the gloss stays for a longer time if applied as a tint. It survives light meals and stays for 5-6 hours. But if applied heavily, it stays for about 4 hours with fading.
Smell/ Taste: It smells like Jelly, really! You know those cream biscuits with jelly at the center? It exactly smells like that! The fragrance is sweet but doesn’t linger much, hence sensitive noses won’t have a problem with it. It doesn’t have any taste what so ever!
