Eye lids: Oily and pigmented
I have been using this eye shadow primer from L.A. Girl from quite some time and I found out that it hasn’t been reviewed on IMBB. So, here I am with this review. Eyeshadow primers are really important and can ‘up’ your pigmentation and matte game with eye shadows. If you have oily lids like me, definitely consider investing in eyeshadow primers. So, let’s see how this eye shadow primer worked out for me.

My Experience with L.A. Girl HD PRO Primer Eyeshadow Stick GEB196 Nude:
Packaging: The product comes in a retractable black tube with a plastic cap. The packaging mentions the shade name and the ingredients. The bullet of the product is nude in colour. The twist-mechanism works well. Overall, it’s a very simple, efficient and travel-friendly packaging. I have no complaints about it.
First impression: I use this product on my eyelids before putting on any concealer or foundation. It has a creamy formulation and can be blended with fingertips or a damp beauty blender. The only problem here is, it tugs a lot on the eyelids and application can be a bit cumbersome. After blending, it settles into this light beige matte base for your eye shadow. It needs to be set with a powder otherwise, it will crease and settle into lines.
Lasting Power and Performance: This primer covers most of the pigmentation around my eyelids and sometimes, I don’t really feel the need to layer it with a concealer. I just set with a powder and begin with my eye makeup. It definitely brightens up my eyelids owing to its nude colour. It also makes the eye shadows really pop and they show up pigmented. The oil control on the eyelids with this primer is also good. My eyelids can remain oil-free up to 8 hours. It also prolongs the lasting power of the eyeshadow. I do not use it on my under-eye area as I have dark circles and that needs more colour-correcting than this product has to offer. For the price, you get a lot with this eyeshadow primer without compromising much on the quality of the product.
Overall, I am happy with the lasting power and performance of the product. It would have got 5 stars from me if it didn’t tug so much on the eye area.
