LA Girl Pro Conceal HD Concealer Review

LA Girl Pro Conceal HD Concealer

Hello everyone! Dark circles make every girl conscious, including me because on my bad days when I develop them, everybody keeps asking: ‘why are you down? Have you slept well? Etc etc’. So looking fresh and radiant makes you escape such useless questions and have a peaceful day *rofl* Anyways, I was using Bourjois healthy Mix Concealer and I am still in love with it, but since I heard rave reviews about L.A Girl’s Pro Conceal HD Concealer, I decided to pick it up. Let’s see is this a drugstore gem or another dud for dustbin.

Product description:

Crease-resistant, opaque coverage in a creamy yet lightweight texture. The long-wearing formula camouflages darkness under the eyes, redness and skin imperfections. Provides complete, natural-looking coverage, evens skin tone, covers dark circles and minimizes fine lines around the eyes.

It costed me $ 4.5 with shipping and custom duties. It contains 8 ml of product to last you quite long.

My take on L.A Girl’s Pro Conceal HD Concealer:

The Pro Conceal HD Concealer comes in a transparent squeezable tube with a brush to apply the product. The screw cap makes it travel friendly. I didn’t expect it to be a brush-on concealer because I am not as such fan of brush-on idea. It absorbs some product but applies smoothly. The product worked so well that I settled with the packaging happily.

The texture of the concealer is smooth and creamy and the consistency is perfect. The brush dispenses sufficient amount of product spreading it smoothly, which is easy to spread and blend due to liquid consistency.

Coverage and Longevity:

The coverage of the concealer is praiseworthy. It is truly an HD concealer at such a reasonable price. It conceals my main focus of dark circles like they were never there. It doesn’t looks cakey and gives a natural look with just a pea sized amount. Be it a scar, a zit or redness; it will cover everything to provide a flawless skin. However, blemishes might give you a trouble if you expect full coverage for them. There are 18 shades available for every skin tone, so finding a match is painless. Once you have found the right shade, when used with foundation, it will blend like a part of foundation and give an even skin tone. It doesn’t crease or budge all day long. It will stay in place on oily skins too when set with a powder. The wearing time is admirable; all day long without fading.

Pros of L.A Girl’s Pro Conceal HD Concealer:

• Creamy, smooth formula.
• The consistency is neither thick nor thin.
• Doesn’t creases or melts on oily skin when set with a powder.
• Doesn’t highlight dry patches or sink into pores near nose.
• No sticky feeling and fragrance free.
• Doesn’t settle into fine lines.
• Excellent HD coverage and longevity for dark circles.
• Does a perfect job for blemishes, scars, zits and redness.
• Semi-matte finish that looks natural.
• Light weight formula.
• Doesn’t fade all day long.
• Easy blending.
• Very hydrating so no of extra moisturizer underneath.
• Easy to apply smoothly by brush.

Cons of L.A Girl’s Pro Conceal HD Concealer::

• Contains Parabens.
• Brush-on design may not be liked by everyone.
• Brush soaks some product every time.
• May not be ideal for very dark spots.
• Availability.

IMBB Rating:
4.5/5 (marks deducted for Parabens only)

Repurchase & Recommendation:
I will go back to it again and again. This one is going to staple with my concealer list. I chose the shade Classic Ivory. I will recommend the concealer to everyone.

  3. looks good have to try this *woot* glad your order came on time 🙂 I have ordered from bea*tyjoint long back and the first two times my order came so quickly, first time within 2 weeks and next time some around three weeks, but my third order took almost 5 months in the end I had lost hope completely thinking my money is down the drain, especially after reading many bad experiences abt the website online that parcels never reach after a while even after months *haan ji*

    1. Oh sonia that is too bad. my first parcel arrived in 3 weeks, second after 4+ but 2 lipsticks were badly damaged, i will share pics in the next post. what i do that i make their life hell by constant emails when i don’t receive my haul, you can give them a call too, and if you had opted for shipping insurance, they are bound to refund as store credit 🙂 Don’t lose hope, most of the parcels get to you sooner or later, i wish you luck. why don’t you write for IMBB? you look so well versed about products from your valuable comments… 🙂

  4. I would like to share my experience with this product. Please make sure you try it on before you buy it. I used it way back in 2012 and it irritated my sensitive skin around the eyes pretty bad. No rash, but severe severe itch and burn, thankfully din’t leave any scars. Threw it right away.. *grrr* *grrr* *headbang* *waaa*

    1. The same thing happened to me! I loved almost everything about this concealer except the condition it left my skin in afterwards. After taking off my makeup as normal and washed my face, I felt some discomfort on my face. Kind of tight but in a bad way. The next day, my face was so sore and dry. I used EXREMELY mild soap that never burns anything, not even if it gets into my eyes, and let me tell you, as soon as the soap hit my face, I almost screamed from how bad it burned. My face was as red as a tomato in the spots I had applied the concealer and after I got out of the shower, my face was the dryest it had ever been in my life. I know for sure it was the LA Girl company but I had also set their concealer with their HD setting powder, so I’m not quite sure if it was one or the other or a combination of both, but I did not have a good experience, as much as I loved the consistency and coverage and price point.:/
