Lakme Lip Love Lip Care range is quite popular in India and I have also tried these lip balms. They have recently come up with two new shades, and today I am talking about the shade ‘Apricot’. This shade has won my heart. Let’s get into the details.

My Experience with Lakme Apricot Lip Love Lip Care:

Packaging:
This one comes in a nice, color-coded bright coral packaging. There is some candy printed on the cardboard paper packaging. It looks so girly and attractive. The actual lip balm comes in the same plastic tube with a clear plastic cap. The cap looks very flimsy but it is safe to carry. Still, I feel that this packaging could have been better.

Shade:
The shade Apricot looks like a super cute coral pink lip balm. It looks very nice and natural on my lips. This pretty shade is good for almost all skin tone. Honestly, I haven’t tried such coral lip balm earlier. This shade makes my lips look so pretty; also the shade is decently pigmented for a lip balm. I need two to three swipes for the true shade to show up on my lips. This tinted lip balm can hide my pigmented lips too. This shade looks so beautiful that I can’t resist myself from using it often.

Texture and Quality:
The texture of this lip balm is very smooth, almost buttery. It glides easily on the lips. It has a clear creamy core which provides a smooth application. This lip balm gives a nice tint to my lips. If I layer it up, it looks glossier and shinier. The tint looks cute and gives a healthy glow to my lips. This lip balm smells like a very fresh fruit, maybe apricot.

The formula is very light and smooth. It doesn’t feel sticky at all. It instantly provides soft, smooth and hydrated lips. It heals my dry lips and makes them soft and healthy. This is good for all types of lips since it nicely provides hydration to dry, chapped lips. It makes my lips soft from the inside and that’s why my lips never feel dry, even many hours after application. The hydration property is definitely better than the older version and it repairs my lips too. It also has SPF 15 which protects my lips from the sun. The color doesn’t settle into the fine lines and doesn’t crease at all. This lip balm transfers but does not fully vanish.

Staying Power:
The lip balm stays on for a long time on my lips – around 5-6 hours easily. And then it keeps my lips soft even after the tint fades away. Also, the color stays on my lips nicely, which is really impressive. Since this is a lip balm, it can’t survive a meal properly; yet it can nicely survive some snacks. My lips still feel soft after a meal with a light stain. It’s a nice lip balm, even for winter days.

Overall:
I absolutely love this variant from the Lakme Lip Love collection. It looks so pretty and it works perfectly on my lips as a good hydrating lip balm. It keeps my lips soft for longer. I feel that Lakme has improved its old formula and these new lip loves are more moisturising and long-lasting.
