Lakme Fantasy Shimmer Eye Liner – Glimmer Blue Review

My love for eye makeup is never-ending and although I have stuff that would last me for ages I keep craving for more and more. So greedy I am.

Claims:

This smudge-free, gel based liner is infused with micro-fine glitter particles that add the perfect shimmer for fun, dramatic and beautiful eyes.

Packaging:

These eyeliners do not have any specific packaging rather than a plastic paper wrapped around it. These eyeliners come in a small bottle with an elongated thin golden cap which actually is the applicator. Very sleek and travel friendly. I haven’t noticed any spilling or leaking.

There are a total of 8 shades in these. Astral Green, Mystic Mauve, Indigo Star, Pink Crystal, Bronze Mist, Moonshine Top Coat, Glimmer Blue and Midnight Moon. Midnight Moon and Moonshine Top Coat have already been reviewed on IMBB. Today I am reviewing Glimmer Blue.

My Experience with Lakme Fantasy Shimmer Eye Liner – Glimmer Blue:

Glimmer blue eyeliner is in the shade of Cobalt Blue with silver undertones. Not that there are very obvious chunky glitter particles in it but yes you can see the way it shimmers when applied. It has a smooth texture and application is very easy. The pigmentation is super crazy. Only a single swipe will get you the desired color. There isn’t much difference in a single and multiple swipes. Also the staying power will make you go nuts. It stayed on for me for like 7-8 hours and still it would not budge. It is smudge proof too. It is waterproof and will require an eye makeup remover.

The consistency of the eyeliner is a little thick and a lot of product comes on the applicator. It would be advisable to carefully use only a small quantity since it is much pigmented. Also avoid layering it because I have noticed that when you apply multiple layers of these eyeliners they become cakey and start cracking in between. Also I feel my eyelids becoming heavy and the skin underneath the liner also feels being pulled at.

The applicator is good and since it is sleek and elongated it helps in better application. But a lot of product gets deposited on it and becomes thicker with time. These eyeliners also become thick over a period of time and must be used quickly.

Yes. What better payoff in terms of pigmentation and staying power in this price.

Would I repurchase Lakme Fantasy Shimmer Eye Liner – Glimmer Blue?

Not this one as I always like variety. Will try others from this range.
