Skin tone: fair
It is raining matte this season and I have quite a few matte lipsticks in my collection. I stepped out of my comfort zone this time and picked shades that I normally wouldn’t even look at. Recently I reviewed the shade RM11, and today I’ll review an orange called OM11.

My Experience with Lakme OM11 Enrich Matte Lipstick:
Packaging: Like the Enrich Satin lipsticks these aren’t color coded either, although there is a slight difference between the packaging of satins and matte versions. The silver tube is matte finish. There is also a change in the logo of the brand. It becomes difficult to spot a particular shade and there aren’t names allotted either. Who’d remember which shade is what!? I don’t. Packaging is sturdy and good looking.
Shade: OM 11 is an orange; a milky one. On my hand it looks milky but on lips it appears to have coral hints. It is not a bright orange and it will be a good pick if you shy away from bright oranges. As much as I like the color, there are chunky shimmers in the lipstick. I was expecting this from Lakme! This shade will suit fair to medium tones.
Texture and pigmentation: Talking about the texture, I absolutely hate the formula. I liked the formula of RM 11 better. This one gives a patchy finish and looks really ugly even though lips are prepped. Pigmentation is average. At least two swipes are needed to get the full color. And more than two swipes on the lips will give a patchy application. The chunky shimmers also contribute to the texture. After a while it starts to settle in lines and the color starts to get deposited at the center of the lips. I tried blotting, but it just transfers way too much. A big complain with the Enrich satins and matte is that the weirdest smell it has got makes me go ‘eww’ and it lingers on forever!
Staying power: This shade just lasted for about 1.5 hours after which it started to look really ghastly with all the color getting deposited at the center of the lips. I ended up wiping it off. It leaves behind the shimmers which travel all over and a bright orange stain. Afterwards wiping off it made my lips dry and flaky! And I did not once feel that it was a matte lipstick; shimmers and the finish were the letdowns. As much as I like the shade, this one has a bad formula and it just didn’t work for me.

Would I Recommend/Repurchase Lakme OM11 Enrich Matte Lipstick?
No to both. Even though it’s a pretty color, if the formula isn’t right then what’s the use?
