Hi beauties,

After the review of the newly-launched L’Occitane Body and Strength Shampoo, today I shall be reviewing the conditioner, which comes along with it. The “Body and Strength” line has the shampoo, conditioner, and hair fall essence spray. Since I was already using a similar spray from Kerastase (which I shall be reviewing later); I did not bother to get the spray from L’Occitane. The conditioner is called 1-minute intensive care; and it is a silicone-free one.

L’Occitane Body and Strength 1-Minute Intensive Care

Product Description:
Formulated with the synergic efficiency of a patented complex of 5 stimulating essential oils (Rosemary, Cypress, YlangYlang, Juniper, Cedar) and fortifying amino acids, this silicone-free intensive care helps to detangle, fortify and limit the fall of fine and fragile hair due to breakage. Hair is fuller, stronger and bouncing with volume. For best results, combine with Body and Strength Shampoo and Body and Strength Scalp Essence.

How To Use:
Apply a small amount of conditioner onto your palms and rub your hands together. Gently massage into your hair, concentrating on the ends (try to avoid your scalp). Using your fingers or a wide-toothed comb; comb through your hair to separate strands. Leave the conditioner on your hair for 3 to 5 minutes. Rinse thoroughly by using your fingers to draw water through your hair. Rinse again with cool water to remove any remaining impurities and to smooth the capillary fibre, to make your hair shinier. Dry your hair gently with a towel.

L’Occitane Body and Strength 1-Minute Intensive Care

My Experience with L’Occitane Body and Strength 1-minute Intensive Care:

Packaging: It comes in a green tube, which is squeezable; and has a lid at the top. The lid has a hole in the center. The lid has to be rotated clockwise and anti-clockwise for the hole to open or close; and the product is then to be squeezed out. As is the policy of L’Occitane, the product is made of products of natural origin and the instructions are written in English as well as in Braille.

Color and Consistency: The conditioner is white in color, medium thick in consistency. The conditioner spreads easily along the wet hair after shampooing; and as such, not much quantity is needed during each wash (of course; that depends on the length of your hair). It has the benefits of five essential oils; and has a mild, minty fragrance, which does not stay on after wash. It is advised to apply this along the whole length of your hair; and keep it for 5-6 minutes. However, I keep it for just 1-2 minutes, and it works well for me even then. It is really a boon for people like me, who are in a rush in the morning hours; and really have not much time for the entire “conditioner-mask-hot towel” process.

Results:
This is a really quick way to condition your hair. Since it does not contain silicones, it will not give a slimy feel to your hair. Also, it is quite easy to wash it off. What it basically does is to detangle the hair so as to lessen the hair fall during subsequent brushing of hair.

L’Occitane Body and Strength 1-Minute Intensive Care

Pros of L’Occitane Body and Strength 1-minute Intensive Care:

  • Nice and safe packaging.
  • Instructions written in Braille as well as English.
  • Nice mild minty fragrance.
  • No silicones.
  • Contains essence of five essential oils.
  • Spreads easily along the length of hair.
  • Washes off easily.
  • No slimy feel due to absence of silicones.
  • Detangles the hair effectively, even if kept for a lesser time.

Cons of L’Occitane Body and Strength 1-minute Intensive Care:

  • 1-minute conditioner is a misnomer.
  • Limited availability in India.
  • Will not smoothen your hair if they are too damaged or color treated.

IMBB Rating:
4/5

Would I Recommend L’Occitane Body and Strength 1-minute Intensive Care?
The combination of this shampoo and conditioner has really decreased my hair fall, even in these monsoon months; and would suggest this combination to anyone suffering from more than normal hair fall.
