During my last haul with L’Occitane, I got a few freebies as well. The shower cream which I am going to review today is one of them. Please read on further to know my experience with it.
Product Being Reviewed:
L’Occitane Ultra Rich Shower Cream.
INR 995 for 250 ml. I can’t really comment on its packaging as I have a trial version of it (75 ml), which comes in a sturdy transparent plastic bottle with a blue flip cap, very travel friendly bottle. Can be reused once the shower cream is over.
This delicate and generous shower cream gently cleanses body and hair while preserving their natural balance. Creamy texture and detergent-free formula, with high percentage (5%) of nourishing Shea Butter, natural coconut foaming base and soy proteins. Leaves skin soft and supple, and hair with high shine. In a squeeze bottle perfect for shower and travel.

My Take on L’Occitane Creme De Douche Ultra Rich Shower Cream:
It comes as a thick, white-coloured liquid with a very mild fragrance which is pleasant. It makes bathing a very relaxing experience. The fragrance does not stay after the bath. It is a cream-based body wash, hence it makes the skin very soft and squeaky clean. It spreads smoothly on the skin. The body wash lathers moderately with a loofah. Also, it does not feel heavy on the skin during summers despite being cream based. It is quite hydrating as well. I missed my moisturiser to check its efficacy and my skin did not feel dry after the shower, it may be because of the presence of shea butter in it.
I quite liked this body wash, the only deterrent is the long list of ingredients in it. Considering it as a shampoo, I was again impressed, it lathers well as a shampoo than as a body wash. It made my hair softer, cleaner and shinier. My hair behaved well for 2 to 3 days, which they normally don’t. All in all, it is a winner on both the fronts.
Summing the pros and cons:
Pros of L’Occitane Creme De Douche Ultra Rich Shower Cream:
- Very moisturising body wash, which makes the skin soft.
- Has a mild fragrance which is pleasant.
- Works equally well as a shampoo.
- Cute little sturdy packaging.
- Has shea butter and glycerine which are supposed to be very moisturising for the body and hair alike.
Cons of L’Occitane Creme De Douche Ultra Rich Shower Cream:
- Long list of ingredients scare me and this list has some alcohol content as well.
Otherwise, I really liked this 2-in-1 product.
