Today, I’m going to review a shower cream from L’Occitane and yes, like all L’Occitane goodies that I used so far, this too is a nice baby that works it way up to take you on cloud 9 😛
The Pivoine Flora Crème De Douche Shower Cream transforms into a light foam in contact with water. The shower gel gently cleanses the body, while respecting the natural hydration of the skin’s epidermis. This shower gel is gently perfumed with a flowery scent of peonies, which are harvested from the Drôme region of southern France.
20$ for 250 ml/8.4 FL OZ
Peony: Interesting story I found on their website. According to a Mediterranean legend, a beautiful nymph named Paeonia was so courted by the gods that a jealous goddess transformed her into a flower with a thousand petals: the Peony. Since then, this symbol of beauty has brightened every Spring with its dazzling show of colors and aromatic scents. To understand the secrets of this flower, L’OCCITANE approached a world-renowned French nurseryman, Jean-Luc Rivière – a man with a passion for peonies, whose family has devoted itself to breeding and cultivating them for 160 years, in the Drôme region of France. The Rivière family’s peony collection boasts an extraordinary palette of shades.
My Take on L’Occitane Pivoine Flora Shower Cream:
Completely in love with this shower cream. It is very smooth with lovely feel. Some may find it a little less lathering, but it doesn’t bother me. I am okay with the little foam in my shower as long as it does a great job. The icing on the cake is that it does so without harming the natural moisture of body. Overall, it provides great cleansing without disturbing the natural moisture balance of my skin.
It has a heavenly, yummy, and clean fragrance which I simply like!! The dispense cap is really an advantage that ensures right amount of product and is hassle free in usage while in shower area.
