L’Oreal Color Riche Lipstick – Cassis Passion Review

I fell in love with another lipstick recently, I just could not get it out of my mind 😛 Apparently, the SA told me that these are new releases and presented to me a stunning array of some 8 to 10 luscious lipsticks one after the other and I supposedly fell in love at first sight with this shade “Cassis Passion.” 😛 Sigh!! I liked three more shades called “Make Me Blush,” “Saucy Mauve,” and “Rose Perle,” but I could not forget this one and I brought it home. I know it is on the steep side at a price point of Rs. 785, but then its L’Oreal, its a new release, and its drop-dead gorgeous!
The “Color Riche” creme lipsticks have always been my favorites. I love the Beige Creme that I have reviewed and I fell for this range again. All the shades I saw were luscious and saucy, and mainly crème ones. They were smooth to swipe and so shiny and saucy to see.
These days, I am madly into pinks and I have put my bricks and reds on the back burner at the moment. I totally love mauvy pinks and purple pinks and have been coupling it up with blue-toned eye makeup. I don’t know whether it’s the monsoon here in Pune at my mum’s place or its just the phase I am in!
The lipstick is out of this world. I love the shape of the bullet, the soft floral fragrance, the crème texture and the luscious finish. I absolutely adore this range from L’Oreal, mainly the crème ones, though they cost around Rs. 680 to 785, like this one.
The pink is a deep, almost soft magenta pink, but its not over the top. Its still wearable for the day time and the finish is saucy crème with mild gloss. The staying power is great too, somewhere around 4 to 5 hours. It is so pigmented and opaque and still won’t stain a bit. The lipstick goes opaque in one smooth swipe and it feels so feathery and soft to wear and dry lips would love it. I really can’t think of any cons in this lipstick apart from the price.
Last Word on L’Oreal Color Riche Lipstick – Cassis Passion:
Anyone who likes deep pinks and L’Oreal, and is ready to pay Rs. 785 for a lipstick, should get this shade definitely. Soft, luscious, opaque and a whopping 4.7 grams is what you get in this gorgeous shade of pink. Another three shades I highly recommend from this range are Rose Perle, Saucy Mauve, and Make Me Blush. Do try these new shades that have been recently launched.
