I have three of these “Endless” lipsticks which I think never made a furore. Most of us don’t even know about them or do not care to stop by to swatch them at the counter, more so after the “Infallible” lipsticks (costing a whopping 900 rupees!) are all over the place. I know we do give into the lust when we are shown nice swatches. So, when I went to Health and Glow this time, I not only picked this Endless lipstick, but I had an itch to try the “Shine Gelee” and the “Infallible” one, I had to try one from each to know what they are all about.
Coming back to these lipsticks, I have reviewed two of these earlier, Boundless Bronze and Violet Attitude, both very different colors, not the regular brick or nudes I review. These cost Rs. 715 rupees each.
The lipsticks remind me of the Lakme Nine to Five and Colorbar Longstay ones because the packing is similar and so is the concept that the colour sets in after you swipe it on. The colour for this one is very deep. Its in fact a brown-red color and very pigmented too and that is what made me fall for it at the counter.
The shade goes on a little shiny, as in no shimmer or frost, but it goes on a little glossy. I was really hoping for a matte finish and after it sets, I think the shine goes off soon enough, so it sets and does not smudge and lasts for a minimum of four to five hours.
The lipstick is like butter, its smooth and glides on like feather soft and I love how the color comes out. Its deep thick and I am so satisfied seeing how true the shade is to the tube, just fantastic. The color comes out thick and creamy and pigmented, worth the money I paid.
One little thing you may not like is that since it sets, it feels a little sticky, so you can’t purse your lips together since it will not feel moisturing. It did not dry my lips whatsoever till now.
Apart from that, I feel like using a lip liner with this as its difficult to define the lips with the flat top, though I like flat top lipsticks. Since the color sets, you have to be careful to use it in the right shape, but the color is a very good one, brightening up fair complexions a lot, but the rest of the face has to be kept neat, otherwise this color can look very dark. The lipstick is very smooth, soft, deep, and pigmented and goes on well and sets for longer.
Last Word on L’Oreal Endless Lipstick: 850 Extreme Spice:
For everyone who likes red, browns, and deeper and thicker lipsticks, which set after application, can try this one out. You might like to use it as stain as well. You will have to use a liner with this one to keep it neat, may be you can try seeing the colors at the counter and see how they feel. I really liked two more colors called “Sangria Red” and “Fawn Fatale,” which I hope I will buy 😛
