Hi Girls,

As I finished my blueberry mask from Montagne Jeunesse, I started using a self-heating mask from the same brand. This was the only self-heating mask available at Target.  This mask contains ginger and cinnamon and purifies skin by drawing out impurities. This is the first ever self-heating mask I have used. Unlike most other Montagne Jeunesse products, which come in sachets, this comes in a “tottle,”  yes tube + bottle = tottle :toothygrin:  and is obviously priced higher than the sachets. This tottle unlike the sachet can be used 10 times.

Directions For Use:

Cleanse face with warm water only. Leave face wet. Apply evenly over face and neck with fingertips, avoiding eyes and lips. Lie back, relax and enjoy the warming effect for 15-20 minutes. Rinse off with water. Pat dry. Use weekly.

My Experience with Montagne Jeunesse Sensuous Spice Self Warming Mask:

As the directions say, cleanse face with warm water only, I did not use my cleanser. After washing, I applied the mask directly on to my wet face. As self-heating masks work by reacting with water, it is essential that you don’t pat dry your face prior to application. As soon as I applied, I could feel my face and neck heating up. It was similar to applying a hot face cloth on to the face. The heating sensation was there for about a minute and then went off. However, it did not feel uncomfortable nor sting my face. As it was a self-heating mask, I did not leave it on for more than 15 minutes.

While I was relaxing and waiting for 15 minutes, I had a cup of lemon and ginger tea (just to add to the effect :balle: )

After 15 minutes, I washed my face with plain water, being careful to wash off the product full. It came off quite easily; however, it stained my face towel, so please do not use a light-coloured towel to wash this off. My skin felt fresh, brighter and lighter, as if all the bad things clogged in my pores had come out. It really does cleanse the pores. This product is really good if you have oily or normal skin, but for beauties with dry or sensitive skin, this product is a definite no-no. Please stay away from it as it really absorbs oil from your skin even though it does works pretty well on oily skin. Suitable to use in winter, when you really can’t apply besan/multani mitti face packs on your face.

I cannot think of any other cons for this product.
