I have been so busy in the past few weeks, I cannot tell you! Half the time I’m busy and during the other half, I’m way too tired to do anything. Work life is catching up and I no longer feel the way I used to before, doing things I had all the time for and roaming around. Now more or less, there will not be any time and when there is that goes for relaxing. Well, despite that I managed to scribble a review quickly because you somehow make time for what you love doing 😛 I bought this lipstick because it was on sale 😛 and L’Oreal is my favorite brand when it comes to lipsticks. Surprisingly, this wasn’t reviewed on IMBB :O So, let me do the honors.

My Experience with L’Oreal Paris 131 Mistinguette Color Riche Matte Lipstick:
Packaging: Love the gold tube a lot; made out of sturdy plastic with a shimmery gold finish which looks classy. The metal part in the middle which separates the cap has the brand name embossed. It is nice to carry around and show off during touch-ups. However, I find the cap is a little loose and comes off sometimes. The shade name is mentioned with a color-coded sticker at the bottom.
Shade: “Mistinguette” is a cute Barbie pink shade. From the bullet, it was first love, but when I wore it, I felt disappointed because I have similar shades in my stash already. Close matches are Maybelline mat1 and Pink Power, and also Katrina’s pink from the star pinks collection. Nonetheless, it is a beautiful shade which is apt for everyday wear. I have been wearing nothing but this from past few days to work 😀
Texture and Pigmentation: This shade is a matte lipstick. It is more of a powdery matte texture on lips. I was expecting it to be a moisturizing matte, but alas. It goes on smooth and doesn’t tug a bit, it tends to kind of highlight dryness and settles into fine lines. The texture, overall is comfortable and light. Pigmentation is above average; two swipes max will give the coverage.
Staying Power: The is a matte lipstick, so it’s expected to last a little longer than creamy ones. It does, but it kinda transfers to cups which is a little disappointing. It fades from the middle after sipping coffee/tea and snacks. Average wear time is about 5 hours which is good enough. It doesn’t survive a complete meal and leaves behind only a pink stain, but I found it very drying on my lips. At the end of the day, my lips craved for moisture and looked dry and lifeless. Otherwise, this is a good color that I enjoy wearing.
