Hair Type: Combination
Today, I will be reviewing a unique shampoo from L’Oreal Paris. Up until now, I would use harsh shampoos to tame my oily hair, but ever since I discovered this shampoo, my hair has never been better. To know more about this product and how it fared for me, keep reading.
For the first time, L’Oreal Paris has infused the extraordinary power of pure clay in a shampoo to keep your hair non-stop fresh for up to 72 hours.
450 INR for 640 ml.
I recognised kaolin clay as one of the ingredients for dealing with oily scalp as well as hyaluronic acid derivatives for hydrating the scalp. For moisturization, it has some oils and glycerine included.
How To Use:
Apply on wet hair and thoroughly massage all over the scalp, then rinse.
My Experience with L’Oreal Paris Extraordinary Clay Purifying and Hydrating Shampoo:
This shampoo comes in a typical L’Oreal packaging. It has a light teal-coloured body that is thick at the top but slims down at the bottom. It has a turquoise coloured dispenser at the top which was closed down completely when I first bought it. Unlike the packaging of the same product but with different volumes, this one is travel friendly as the top can be locked down. It has all the claims on the front, as well as directions for usage, price and ingredients at the back.
The shampoo has a pale blue colour, and smells fruity. It also has a pearlescent quality to it. I love the fragrance while washing my hair in the shower. It has a moderately thick consistency. It lathers extremely well. I saw advertisements for this product line everywhere, and thought that it would be the perfect shampoo for my oily hair.
Coming to the application of this product, I apply it once every week. Rest of the time, I use other normal nourishing shampoos. It helps to keep the oiliness at bay for two days. It does not dry out my hair or make it weak and brittle. However, a conditioner is a must after using this product. On the third day, I again wash my hair. However, the effects of this shampoo cannot be felt if used continuously. My hair gets used to a single shampoo and then stops reacting to it. Hence I alternate shampoos for my hair. Overall, I was very satisfied with this product as it lives up to its claims.
Pros of L’Oreal Paris Extraordinary Clay Purifying and Hydrating Shampoo:
- Leaves hair feeling clean and fresh.
- Keeps oiliness at bay for a long time.
- Doesn’t dry the hair or make it brittle.
Cons of L’Oreal Paris Extraordinary Clay Purifying and Hydrating Shampoo:
- It does contain harmful ingredients like SLS, commonly found in drugstore shampoo brands.
Would I Repurchase/Recommend L’Oreal Paris Extraordinary Clay Purifying and Hydrating Shampoo?
This is definitely one shampoo that everyone must have in their shower for days when their hair is uncontrollably oily and requires a deep cleanse. I will be repurchasing this as soon as this bottle is over.
