Skin tone: Medium olive
Hello, beautiful ladies!
L’Oreal Paris has recently launched their Tint Caresse range with eight beautiful shades. Today, I’m reviewing the shade ‘Lily Blossom’. Read on to know more.
Price: Rs.1050/- for 0.9g
Product Description and Ingredients:
First powder lipstick of L’OrealParis infused with the most refined powder. Besides the rich color payoff, it is lightweight and transfer-proof because of its refined powder properties.
My Experience with L’Oreal Paris Tint Caresse Lily Blossom:
Packaging: Let’s begin with the packaging. L’Oreal always designs their products beautifully. L’Oreal Paris Tint Caresse comes in a sleek, beautiful long tube in a metallic finish. The tube is color-coded and has a gold ombre look. All the product-related information is provided on a plastic wrap, which gets destroyed once you open the packaging.
It is a unique lipstick as it has a sponge tip applicator, and the actual lipstick is placed inside the cap with the inclusion of a spring. This pointed sponge tip helps to define the lips nicely, and the application takes just a few minutes. The sponge is good enough and blends the lip color evenly on the lips. I can easily create an ombre look with this lipstick.
Shade: The shade, “Lily Blossom” is a beautiful peachy nude shade. It looks so natural on the lips and would make a MLBB shade for light to medium skin tones. It might wash out dusky beauties but, I love the color on me. It goes amazingly with a bold eye makeup look. The color does contain some shimmer but, it doesn’t look OTT on lips. It is a well-pigmented shade, which requires two strokes to get the perfect colour pay off, but the pigmentation is not like the regular lipsticks, yet I can build up the shade easily, and it provides a good coverage as well.
Texture and Quality: The texture is just like a soft powder, and it comes out with the sponge when I dip it into the cap. It glides on very well and glides smoothly on the lips. It has a flawless powder-matte finish. The most interesting thing about this formula is, it feels super lightweight on the lips. It does not feel heavy on the lips and is super comfortable to wear.
The formula provides a good amount of hydration to the lips. Also, it never feels drying on the lips. But, this lipstick doesn’t provide sufficient hydration to dry lips, and it might highlight dry patches too. It actually looks its best on smooth lips, so make sure you always exfoliate your lips before application. Honestly, it is the most natural-looking lipstick that I have used till date. It looks more like a natural lip stain or a lip tint. The formula is smudge proof, transfer proof and waterproof as well.
Usage: L’Oreal claims that it is a 3-in-1 product, and thus, it can be used as a blusher and eyeshadow as well. As a blusher, it blends super smoothly on the cheeks and the formula is perfect for face, too. It never feels greasy on the face, which is an added benefit for oily skinned beauties. It provides a soft matte finish, which lasts longer, too. As an eyeshadow, it works very well to provide a smooth, fresh look. But, this particular shade will not show up on dark skin tones. On my medium to fair skin tone, it looks very natural. Also, I can mix two shades to create a beautiful ombre effect, and the lipstick actually helps to achieve that perfect Korean ombre look.
Staying Power: The staying power is also impressive. It stays put for around 6 hours on the lips. It can survive a normal meal but, it starts to fade after a certain time and then, it leaves behind a beautiful stain, which lasts longer, too. As it’s a nude shade, it looks faded after a meal, so reapplication is mandatory. Also, it is very easy to remove this lipstick and it never settles into fine lines.
Overall, I have never used a lipstick like this before. That’s how unique this product is! I love this cute lip colour range. It is quite expensive, and the quantity provided is quite less as per the price, though.
