Makeup Geek Drama Queen Eyeshadow Review

Continuing with my reviews on Makeup Geek eyeshadows, this review will be on the shade “Drama Queen.”

My Experience with Makeup Geek Drama Queen Eyeshadow:

Packaging:  This eyeshadow comes in a pan, which you have to pop into a magnetic palette. I do like the flexibility this provides for customizing a palette based on your needs, but this also means you have to shell out extra to buy the Z-palette on top of buying the eyeshadow.

Shade and Finish:  “Drama Queen” is described as a “densely dark purple with a shimmery finish.” This shade is an intensely deep, almost blackened plummy purple. It has a lot of micro magenta-burgundy shimmer which lend to its overall metallic finish. This shade can totally be used as an all-over lid shade to create a sultry smokey eye and can be a great alternative to the traditional black smokey eye look.

Texture and Pigmentation:  The texture of this shadow is smooth and easy to work with. It does not yield tons of fall out. Pigmentation on this shade is superb, it gives full opacity with one layer.

Staying Power:  Staying power of this shade is fantastic. It stays vibrant and starts showing signs of fading past 8-9 hours into wear.

Overall, I am definitely impressed by Makeup Geek shadows on the whole and I feel they truly deliver on quality at a reasonable price. This shade is no exception. I highly recommend you check this out.

In the EOTD, I have used the shade “Drama Queen” all over the lid blended with “unexpected” in the crease.
