My vacations are going on and I am enjoying a lot at home. I have many weddings to attend this wedding season and I try to look different everytime. Sometime back, I used to avoid applying eyeshadows but lately I have started using them. I trust Lakme for its quality and I had bought 4 shades from Color Illusion range. They seem to be perfect for the wedding season. The shade I am going to review today is Peach Pearl.

My take on this Lakme Absolute Peach Pearl Color Illusion Pearl Eyeshadow:

The packaging is the standard eyeshadow and blush packaging from Lakme Absolute Range. The eyeshadow comes in a black pan with a plastic cap. The cap closes tightly and it travel friendly. The details about the eyeshadow are written on the back of the eyeshadow.Coming from a brand like Lakme and at such a price, I had very high hopes from it but I was left a bit disappointed. The eyeshadow is too shimmery and sheer. You need to apply it more than 4-5 times to actually make it visible on eyelids. I dare you not to use it dry otherwise you would be left in a great mess. When used dry, it falls out a lot and your whole face is covered with the shimmer particles. The eyeshadow doesn’t contain any base and it just made up of shimmer particles. The eyeshadow does its job quite well when used wet. It transfers a lot less and makes the eyes pop . But it is a big no for those who wear contact lens as the eyeshadow tends to get into the eyes. As the eyeshadow is not that visible on its own I am attaching a picture without applying the eyeshadow so that you can actually come to know the difference.

Peach pearl is a pretty peach shade. I am drawn to peach and pink and thus I bought this eyeshadow. It can be used alone when you want to just highlight your eyes. If you want to go for a more dramatic look use this to highlight your upper eyelids and apply a darker eyeshadow on the lower eyelids. As the shade is light it adds a glistening effect to your eyes which looks very pretty.
As the eyeliner just consist of shimmer particles it is a bit difficult to apply them. They are not smooth to apply and you really need a good applicator to take it out of the pan. Sometimes you need to apply a lot of pressure to get the desired quantity. The staying power of the eyeshadow is pretty decent when used with an eye primer. The crease does start to appear after 3 hours and the shadow holds on for 4-5 hours on my oily eyelids.

Cons of Lakme Absolute Peach Pearl Color Illusion Pearl Eyeshadow:

• Cannot be used dry otherwise would cause lot of fallout.
• It consists just of shimmer particles and no base.
• Staying power is less as compared to the price.
• Need to layer it too much to make it visible on eyelids.
• The texture is not too smooth.
• Can’t be used by lens wearers as it causes a lot of fall out.

No. There are millions of eyeshadows to choose from at a lower price than this and which do their job pretty well.
