Keeping up with my palette reviews, I picked up a palette online. I do not own cream contour kits and hence this looked like a very attractive option. I don’t think there are color choices but this has varied shades in itself. You can only hope that it matches your skin.
The complete cream contouring and highlighting palette is here! The ultra cream contour palette has 8 creams for perfect contouring, defining and sculpting. Assembled in a large palette with full size mirror.
My Experience with Makeup Revolution London Ultra Cream Contour Palette:
First of all, the palette is really good quality, the whole case is black and shiny, I love it! The palette has varied shades for a skin tone (lighter skin), that is the only issue. This has turned out to be very light, even for my medium to fair skin. The shades are mostly very light for me, they can be used to highlight the centre and high points in combination with other deeper shades.
On its own, this palette has very ashy shades for me. The deep brown shade can be used as a light contour for medium skin tone. The lighter brown is almost matching my skin tone. I could use it like a concealer 😛
The darker brown can be layered upon with a deep brown powder if you want more definition. The colors have a yellow to them which can be great for inner corner of the eyes. The highlight shade is perfect. I love it for cheekbones and brow bone, though it does not set. Chances are high that it will move and smudge.
Most shades will need to be slightly set for Indian weather or oily skin tone. I would have loved if it had an orange-y color, but again, this is not a correcting palette. On its own, these are good shades for very light skin tone. For warm skin, this will be very light and ashy. Just for the two brown shades, there is no point in buying this entire palette.
The texture is perfect, not too buttery to melt. It is hard enough to stay put and contour with a stiff brush. I find it almost smooth enough to be used with finger tips too. Neither too creamy nor too hard to work with.
Overall, I would recommend this palette for lighter skin tones only.
