My Experience with Maybelline Color Sensational Bold Matte Lipstick Mat2:

Isn’t Maybelline one of our favorite brands? Well, then how could I miss getting its hot new launch “Maybelline Color Sensational Bold Matte Lipsticks”? These bold matte lipsticks are launched in five shades. Mat1 is a bright, neon pink color. Mat2 is a vivid, bright coral with pink tones. Mat3 is a pure coral color. Mat4 is red-coral color and Mat5 is a pure red color.  As soon as I heard about its launch, I started looking for it. Finally, when I found these lipsticks, I liked the colors so much that I wanted to buy all the five shades, but somehow I controlled myself and got just 2 shades 😛 I have been using and loving, at the same time, Mat2 shade since a week and finally, I can review it now.

Mat2 is a bright coral color with pink tones. This color looks neon in the bullet and I thought I can’t wear this color at all, but as soon as I swiped it over my lips, I fell in love with it. This color is a perfect mixture of coral and pink. It is a perfect summer color which brightens my face instantly. I love this color so much that I have been looking for opportunities to wear it. This color will suit fair skin tones and fair to medium skin tones the best. It will look great at parties, movies and night outs.

The packaging of these bold matte lipsticks come in similar packaging like Color Sensational lipsticks. In fact, the packaging is very attractive. The shade name is written at the bottom. The top of the lipstick has a plastic mirror. This lipstick is quite soft, so is very prone to melting. I prefer to keep it in a refrigerator.

This lipstick glides on very softly and smoothly on lips. It absolutely glides like a dream. Though it claims to be matte, the finish is semi-matte with glossy sheen. It isn’t drying at all. I think its better it isn’t completely matte because then it would have dried my lips and settled in lines but now, it doesn’t. It gives a sheer coverage and just a tint of coral color in the first swipe. It required three to four swipes to completely cover the pigmentation of my lips. It becomes opaque in three swipes. The glossy sheen stays on for about an hour. This lipstick feels extremely light on the lips and stays on for about 4-5 hours on my lips.
