My Experience with Mirenesse Mattfinity Lip Rouge Sydney:

Packaging:
Mirenesse Mattfinity Lip Rouge Sydney comes packaged in a cute transparent tube, which looks just like a lip gloss tube. The tube has a black cap and the font is silver in color. The lower half of the tube is transparent, which makes the shade identification easier.

The packaging is simple and pretty. It shows the lipstick shade, making it easy to find the shade you want. The applicator has a ‘Lip Hug’ effect. It feels comfortable on the lips and makes the product clings perfectly, thus delivering an even, continuous application.

Shade:
There are 10 shades in this range and each shade is named after a famous city. I personally love it when lipsticks are named after places. The shade range is basic and neat comprising of nudes, neutrals, pinks and reds. This time I picked up the variant Sydney – which is a beautiful fuchsia pink shade with a strong red undertone.

Formula:
The lipstick has a soft, mousse-like consistency – just like a lip cream. It applies very well and starts to feel like a satiny lipstick. It then eventually dries down to a semi-matte plush velvet finish. The texture is smooth and feels very comfortable and lightweight on the lips.

Sydney is incredibly pigmented and a thin layer on the lips gives opaque, pigmented colour, which feels like a dream. I use this lipstick without lining my lips with a lip liner and there was no feathering or bleeding, even after eating.

This does have a fruity artificial scent to it, which I don’t mind, but it may be bother some people especially those with a sensitive nose. The lipstick is made with organic beeswax and Vitamin E. Thus, unlike most matte lipsticks, this one doesn’t make the lips feel dry at all. It actually hydrates the lips and you don’t feel like there is anything on your lips.

Wear Time:
This liquid lipstick offers an amazing staying power. It stays put the entire day and it is almost transfer-proof. I notice minimal transfer after eating. It fades a bit with oily foods but nothing ridiculous. It also leaves a beautiful stain on the lips.

Overall:
It is a gorgeous non-drying liquid lipstick. I recommend it to everyone.
