My Experience with Nature’s Essence Nature’s Organic Oriental Orange ‘N’ Lime D-Tan Face Wash:
This face wash is mainly formulated for skin that has spots and looks dull due to uneven skin tone and reduced brightness. Let’s talk about the packaging first, which is the main attraction for this range of skin care products.
The face wash comes packed in a colourful orange themed tube with beautiful graphical prints of oranges on its cover. It shuts with a flip-flop lid which has no chances of product leakage. So, the theme looks quite tropical and is very eye-catching. The hole in the tube dispenses the right amount of product for usage. The packaging is leak proof, so it can be easily carried around. All the product details are mentioned on the body of the tube itself. The packaging is very sturdy. Overall, I love the how the brand has themed its packaging. It is quite unique.
Coming to the price point, all the newly launched products are very much affordable and well within one’s budget. Quantity is also reasonable and will last really long. This face wash is white in colour and has a creamy consistency. It does not contain any exfoliating beads or anything. It feels quite gentle on your skin and doesn’t rip off the moisture from your skin.
The odour of this face wash is very refreshing. It has a tropical orange kind of fragrance and feels so appealing to the senses. The smell is not very overpowering and is great for summers. This fragrance does not linger around after you have washed your face. So, I’m sure it will not be a concern for people with sensitive noses.
The product has a thick consistency. So, it is easy to control the product flow. It lathers well but it is not super foamy. You would need a coin sized amount to cleanse your skin properly. The formulation spreads on the face evenly and is quite easy to work with.
I was quite intrigued by the ingredient list of this face wash. It has all the ingredients that are vital if you are looking for a brightening face wash. It is enriched with extracts of orange and lime, which provide the purest form of Vitamin C. They are good for slowing down oxidation of your natural skin tone and further darkening of the skin.
At first, I wet my face. I take a pea-sized amount of this product and apply it to my face. I massage it in circular motions for about 5 minutes so that the natural extracts get penetrated into the skin properly and show the best results. Following that, I wash my face with lukewarm water. The product is easy to rinse off and doesn’t leave behind any residue. Even though this face wash is quite gentle on the skin, still if you want to hydrate your skin, you can follow up with any moisturiser.
I have used this face wash quite a few times and so far it has worked pretty well. It unclogged pores and removed dirt and impurities. It uplifted my mood and felt soothing to the senses. My face felt squeaky clean post using this. As a result, I found my skin looked brighter and more radiant. I could feel the softness on my face. It removes all traces of grease and it does not make my skin produce excess oil after I use it. The claim that it leaves a dewy finish is not something I agree to. Skin looks matte for about 4-5 hours which is actually great during summers.
This face wash provides good hydration and does not leave my face dry. So, my face did feel patchy. Its natural ingredient list does its job perfectly in reducing the dullness from your skin and bringing back that natural glow in no time. The rejuvenating smell of tropical fruits made me feel super fresh. It also removed all traces of makeup and works well as a makeup remover.
As far as the ‘D-Tan’ claim is concerned, I have not noticed any visible changes in the first go. So, this claim is not true but it surely brightens the skin complexion to a great extent. If you have heavily tanned skin, this will not work for you. The effect lasts for about 1-2 days depending on the degree of stress your skin goes through. It has suited me well and did not break me out. I am quite happy with the results.
This face wash can be incorporated in the daily skin care routine as a mild and gentle face cleanser. I love the smell of oranges and I feel this one is great for hot and humid weather. It will keep you fresh and active for long. It is also great oily skinned beauties. I do recommend this to readers.
