I picked up the newly launched Q10 Plus C range from Nivea. I picked up the body lotion and night and day creams from the range to see the difference they all make. My Experience with Nivea Q10 Plus C Anti-Wrinkle + Energy Skin Sleep Cream:
The product comes in a cardboard packaging. The product comes unsealed. There is a lot of information on the box. Once you open the box, there is the cream tube. The tube is blue in color and has orange highlights, probably denoting Vitamin C. The tube is made of aluminium, which is very thoughtful because Vitamin C is an active ingredient and has to be well protected to make sure that the potency is well maintained.
The tube came as a shock to me because I usually like my tubes full and not dented and with this aluminium tube, it dented very easily from the first time I touched it. The cap closes well and the product is sleek and travel-friendly. The price is a little expensive, but since it contains Vitamin C, I guess it is justified.
The tube has an orange nozzle, which dispenses the cream. One of the problems with this is that the cream doesn’t stop and keeps oozing out for a while. The cream has a light yellow tint to it. It is rich and is very creamy. The smell is mild and doesn’t stay long. The nozzle dispenses the cream without any issue.
The cream absorbs into the skin like a dream. It sinks into the skin and doesn’t leave any greasy residue. The application of the product is easy and it instantly nourishes the skin. The product is a “sleep” cream and is meant to awaken tired skin, giving it an impression of full sleep skin. The product – since is rich – could be a very good choice for a night cream.
It intensively moisturizes the skin and gets rid of any dryness. The product hydrates the skin for more than 12-13 hours. It makes skin very soft too. I noticed changes in my skin within 2-3 days using the product. My face felt fresh the next morning and I could see a suppleness in my face.
My skin had added radiance and a pinkish hue and for a brown girl like me, this makes so much difference. It evens out the skin tone too. I haven’t noticed big changes in pigmentation or spot correction. It does eliminate fine lines due to ageing. Presence of Q10 helps skin regenerate and makes the skin texture better and my skin feels much energized. In the mornings, I can go on for hours by just splashing water on my face – it really makes my skin feel better.
Presence of Vitamin C helps increase radiance and also lightens the tone. I haven’t seen much difference in the skin lightening but I guess it takes a while. Overall, it is a great product if you are looking for a night cream to energize your skin due to less sleep. I absolutely love this product!
