My Experience with NYX Away We Glow Liquid Highlighter Daytime Halo:

Let’s begin with the packaging of the product. The highlighter comes in a sleek lip gloss kind of plastic tube. The tube is transparent and can be easily spotted in makeup stash. It has typical glossy screw on type cap that shuts securely, making it leak-proof and travel-friendly. The cap has a typical doe-foot applicator that helps to apply the product easily. The applicator is soft and very gentle. The tube bears the necessary product related information on it. The shade name and ingredients list is printed on the side of the tube. I like the tube packaging, as it is very small and easy to carry. Overall, the packaging is nice and travel-friendly.

The shade “Daytime Halo” is subtle gold shade. It has very fine golden microshimmers. The shade goes very well on my skin tone and gives nice glow to it. The shimmer particles are ultra fine and do not look chunky. The ultra fine shimmers add nice luminescence effect to the skin. Though the shimmers do not transfer around, they budge a little upon touching the face. The highlighter is lovely for everyday use and looks subtle even at the daytime. The shades “Crystal Glare” and “Daytime Halo” are really good for everyday usage.

The highlighter is not too shimmery nor insanely pigmented. Hence, one has full control on building up the intensity of the highlighter. This makes it a great choice for beginners as well. The product sets pretty quickly, so I had to be very quick while blending it into the skin. I sometimes use it on bare skin to achieve a nice and glowing no makeup look. It does not emphasize large skin pores and looks smooth on the skin. It blends beautifully even with fingers. I found this highlighter pretty easy to blend and it never emphasizes the dry patches of the skin. It is decently pigmented and easily buildable. Though it has a crème formula, it does not make my skin greasy nor it leaves any residue behind.

The texture is nice and smooth. It is kind of creamy and blends effortlessly on the skin. People with dry skin will love it for sure as this does not cling to dry patches of the skin. The texture is so lightweight and non-sticky. It does not give any greasiness to the skin. I have combination-oily skin and it does not make my skin oily at all. So, it is suitable for all skin types. It suits my sensitive skin so well and does not break me out. I am currently obsessed with this highlighter and using it quite often and I have not faced any skin issues with them so far. The lasting power is somewhere around 5-6 hours on my skin, which is again impressive for a drugstore brand.
