Hello gorgeous ladies,
After I tried the NYX Prismatic Eyeshadow in Frostbite, there was no looking back and I immediately bought four other shades which I could get maximum use out of. Today, I will be reviewing the shade “Golden Peach.” I would have bought this baby after reading the name itself, even without seeing the actual colour. Trust me ladies, this colour will make you go week in the knee!
Live in a world of kaleidoscope color with our Prismatic Shadows. Mix and match any of these 12 brilliant metallic shades to achieve a fun stunning eye look in seconds.
My Experience with NYX Golden Peach Prismatic Shadows:
Packaging: These babies come packaged in cute little silver and black pots and the clasp is a little silver bow. How freaking amazingly cute is that!! It’s a fine way of adding that little bit of a girly touch to the tiny eyeshadow, without going crazy. The packaging is sturdy, sleek and simple. They also have a hinge opening, similar to their other eyeshadows, which I prefer to a cap that comes off all the way.
Colour: “Golden Peach” is a beautiful peachy shade with a golden duochrome when it catches the light. Just gorgeous! I do not have a shade similar to this in my collection and hence when I swatched this in the store, I fell for it. I love duochrome in everything – I mean nail colours, wrapping papers and eyeshadows as well!
Pigmentation: The pigmentation is absolutely incredible! This eyeshadow formulation created by NYX can rival any expensive high-end eyeshadow on the market. That’s why these were such a pleasant surprise because the original NYX eyeshadows were decent, but I wasn’t super impressed by them. In the images of the hand swatch and the eye swatch, these are swatched without a primer, so you can see how truly pigmented these are!
Texture: These are probably some of the softest and smoothest eyeshadows I’ve ever touched! No exaggerations ladies, I mean it!! You can actually see how soft they are in the hand swatch. To me, they are no less than a highly pigmented loose eyeshadow pigment that was loosely pressed together. The only downside to them being this soft is that it tends to have a lot of fallout, so you need to be careful with that.
Longevity: Without a primer, this eyeshadow lasts on my lid for a good 8 hours and with my MAC Paint Pot in Painterly, the longevity increases to at least 12-13 hours with the same life and colour it showed up when I first applied it, if that makes sense. So, the conclusion is that they’re long-lasting as well!
