Let me start off by saying the colors in the NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream range are purely gorgeous! I love all the shades NYX has assembled in their vintage fad of Soft Matte Lip Cream collection. There’s a nice variety of neutrals, reds, pinks, purples and some vibrant colors. Calling out to everyone who loves bright and daring – let’s review one of the “bold” shades from the SMLC line – “Havana.”

My Experience with NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream Havana:

Havana, like all shades from NYX’s Soft Matte Lip Cream range comes in a beautiful packaging with vivid colour.. The applicator works nicely and precisely for a perfect application, however, for this particular shade, the application comes off patchy.

“Havana” is such a bold purple shade with cool blue undertones which has a whipped mouse texture. The problem with such shades in many other brands, too, is that they come off very streaky ; and ‘Havana’ nests this problem as well! One has to layer on two- three coats for an even application.

Throwing some disappointment here; just like all the shades from this range, Havana, too, has a weak lasting power staying around three to four hours on the lips. It is transferable and does smudge, which again is a disappointment.

“Havana” is a great addition to a true blue purple lover’s collection. Although a tad bit tough to apply, the colour stays on beautifully for upto three hours. A statement shade that needs no heavy eye makeup, I am completely besotted with this even if I have to reapply it 4 times a day!
Really hoping NYX improves the formulation of this one.

• Highlights imperfections on dry or chapped lips.

• Non transfer-proof and non smudge proof.
• Applicator absorbs most of the product.

Yes, yes! Definitely a bold shade, I would never have my vanity to lose on.
