I had tried this mask from O3+ from a friend in my hostel and liked it quite well, but I didn’t want to buy the bigger version as I am travelling a lot, and my table is already overflowing with cosmetics, so I picked this small pack. Today’s review is about O3+ Chamomile Hydrating and Soothing Cooling Masque, which will suit even sensitive skin and impart a cooling and relaxed sensation.

My Experience with O3+ Chamomile Hydrating and Soothing Cooling Masque:
Packaging: The bigger versions of the mask come in bulky but classy looking tubs with screw-on lid. The small one I got is similar to the capsule packs from K-beauty brands. The tiny plastic tub is sealed and encased in a cardboard box. All product details are written on the back of the cardboard box. It is super lightweight and travel friendly.
The product description on the official website of O3+ confuses me. In one paragraph. it says ‘anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, anti-allergenic, calming and de-congesting’ and then it also mentions ‘Not recommended for: Sensitive, oily, acne-prone skin.’ I decided to go ahead with my purchase as I had used it before and liked it and secondly, as I was buying the smaller version, I knew I wasn’t taking too huge a risk.
The texture is gel like. On applying, it feels very soothing. I like the cool, calming sensation it gives on my skin. My skin is oily, congested and sensitive and I try my best to use refreshing and soothing products to control its craziness. This mask certainly feels like a thin film on my skin for some time, but soon doesn’t feel uncomfortable or greasy. I leave it on for 20 minutes or so, and wash off with cold water.
My skin looks very refreshed. Like, even on days my skin is absolutely parched and dull, scrubbing my face and applying this brightens my skin tone. This is perfect for a quick dose of TLC to your skin. It replenishes the moisture and makes skin supple. It hasn’t irritated my skin in any way. In fact, I applied it after my laser hair removal session and my skin felt relaxed and calmed.
The 5 gram mask lasted me for three uses. I am sure even if you coat your face generously with this, you can get at least two uses out of this. I like companies who have small sizes too, it’s good that you can try products to test how they suit your skin and also carry them on travels.
