5 Home Remedies to Rejuvenate Dull Skin

Hi, beauties!

Today’s hectic lifestyle makes it really hard for us to maintain a hale and hearty routine and especially when it comes to skin care. Certainly, dull skin is an outcome of this condition and weekly facials may not be quite helpful in it. Generally, women consider that there is no cure for dull skin and it becomes worse with ageing. Fortunately, this can be cured with the help of several simple natural remedies.

Brighten dull skin

Before we start with those remedies for dull skin, let’s take a look at the reasons that lead to skin dullness.
⦁ Lack of water intake is the biggest reason why your skin makes you look ten years older than your actual age.
⦁ Reckless consumption of alcohol or smoking habit not only leads to bad health but also causes dull skin.
⦁ When we avoid scrubbing for a long time, the layer of dirt and dead skin becomes robust making your skin patchy and lifeless.
⦁ When we deprive our body of healthy habits like a nutritious diet and significant workout, the impact starts to appear on the skin.

Natural Remedies for rejuvenating dull skin without any harsh efforts:

1. Lemon Juice

Vitamin C is known to have strong effects on dead cells, leaving your skin deeply cleansed. And, what can be a better source of vitamin C than lemon? Just squeeze few drops of lemon and apply directly on your face but save the area around eyes. Let it stay for 10-15 minutes and then wash your face with water. Since this method is suitable for oily skin, girls with dry skin can mix it with curd or honey to make it rather moisturising.

2. Sugar and Honey

It’s ironic that intake of sugar is not supposed to be good for health but there are hundreds of skin and hair care methods in which we use sugar as a crucial ingredient. The mixture is very easy to make. You just have to mix few granules of sugar in honey to give it a little scrubby texture. Once prepared, apply this mixture on your face and rub it gently before you rinse it with water. I would recommend you to avoid this remedy if you have sensitive skin.

3. Tamarind

Tamarind is considered a great source of vitamin B and C. Apart from that, it also contains fibre and antioxidants which make it even more effective for the skin. You can simply get some tamarind pulp and apply it on your face with the help of a gentle massage. Keep it on for 8-10 minutes on your face and then wash it off. It will remove impurities from the skin to bring out the inner glow naturally.

4. Yogurt

There is a list of foods that some girls don’t like to eat but these foods are actually quite beneficial for a naturally glowing skin. You can mix 1 tablespoon of yoghurt with half a tablespoon of honey and some mashed banana to make a paste. The application requires 15 minutes before you wash it off. Weekly or biweekly use of this super skin pack will not only help you reduce dullness but will also remove sun tan from skin.

5. Neem and Basil

Though the preparation of this method is not as easy as above mentioned remedies, it gives you three benefits for skin at a time. You need dried leaves of neem and basil along with sandalwood powder and honey. Now, mix 1 tablespoon of honey and sandalwood, add powdered and dried leaves and make a fine paste. Apply it on your face and keep it for 15-20 minutes. After that, rub your face slowly and wash the paste off. This amazing pack not only removes dead skin cells but also controls excessive sebum, making your skin glow naturally.

Besides these remedies, your skin also requires proper hydration, workout and healthy diet. This will keep your skin young and healthy for a much longer time.
