I am recently trying a lot of skin care products and I have this new day cream in my stash, O3+ Whitening Cream. I generally leave for my lab in the morning after applying my toner, serum and sunscreen, but once I get there, I wash my face and I need to apply some cream to keep the skin soft. I wanted something with SPF as I go out at times and carrying the sunscreen is a little too much for a lazy bum like me. This cream claims to provide sun protection and more, so I decided to give it a try. Read on further to know how this cream fared for me.

My Experience with O3+ Whitening Cream SPF 30:
There is nothing too fancy about the packaging. The product is plain and sturdy white tube packaging that has all the details printed on the back. The tube comes in a white paper carton. It comes with a flip open cap, which closes well. I love simple, white tubes like this on my dressing unit and I love having it there.
The cream is white in colour and has a medium to thick consistency. It feels a little tight and thick when you bring it out, but it blends effortlessly. It does not leave behind any sticky or heavy feeling. When you apply too much of it, you can see a white cast, but this does not happen when you use the right amount. It does not look very matte when applied. It leaves a shiny kind of finish, by that I do not mean a sparkly kind of a shine. It is a glowy shine on the skin which does not look too dry or matte.
The cream does show any brightening or whitening effect on the skin. It is not the superficial white cast that cheap whitening creams provide, neither is it the “bleached skin” like effect. This cream makes my skin look glow-y and like Korean skin care products. It prevents sun tan too. I do not trust it to fight “office time sun” and use a SPF 50 product for that time, but it is good for indoor use and also when you go out for a short time span. It works on tan too and prevents dullness of the skin. It does not work magically in a day, but when you use this cream regularly, the texture of your skin will improve and you will see visible improvement in the skin.
Although this product claims to provide 8 hours of sun protection, I do not feel like replacing my trusted sunscreen with this one. It is moderately moisturizing. If you have extremely dry skin, this cream wouldn’t impress you. It is good for normal to combination skin types and to a certain extent for oily skin too. Again, if you have extremely oily skin, this can be a little heavy for you.
It does not make the skin oily or patchy. I feel sweaty when I use this, but considering the weather, I do not blame the cream for that. I do not get any breakouts and rashes using this. I love using this as a day cream. I wish it had a slight more SPF, but as I do not use it as a sunscreen, I wouldn’t complain much.
