I have been using Ouai hair care products for a few months now. Ouai is a hair care brand started by Jen Atkins. She is the hair stylist for “Kardashians.” I picked these two products (Ouai Dry Shampoo and Hair Oil) from London. So, here’s my review of using both the products regularly for a while now. 🙂

My Experience with Ouai Hair Oil:
It is a serum-cum-hair oil meant to tame frizzy hair. People with all hair types can use this – straight, curly, coiled, super coiled, wavy, etc. It is also paraben and phthalate free. You can also use more quantity of this and use it as an overnight oil and wash your hair in the morning. I adoreee this product. It smelt and felt very familiar to me when I first started using it.
After much recall, I realized that it smells and feels exactly the same as Kerastase Elixir Ultime Oleo Complexe – it’s exactly the same and to an extent that I am not even worried about this getting over because I’d go back and buy my favorite Kerastase Serum. 😀 This is a lightweight oil. It not only tames the frizz, it makes my hair so soft and shiny.
I cannot do without using this serum, I love it so much. It makes my hair soft, silky and shiny every time I use it and it smells so good. What I love the most is that it does not weigh the hair down and keep the hair looking fresh. I have also used it as an overnight oil. But for overnight oil, I prefer to use desi oils than these serum kind of oils. It comes in this sturdy clear pump bottle and that makes it easier to carry around.
For my medium length hair, I just need a pump of it and it really makes my hair so manageable and nice. It gives that nourished look and feel to the hair. I would highly recommend it.

My Experience with Ouai Dry Shampoo:
Ouai Dry Shampoo comes in this grey bottle with a spray nozzle. The only good thing I found about this product was how amazing and fresh it smells. Other than that, it really failed to work for my hair. It does not give that fresh clean feel to the scalp, I mean it works a little, but nothing how I would want my dry shampoo to work.
And also, I feel every time that I use it, I definitely have to wash my hair the next day. It makes my hair feel heavy and causes a build up in my hair the very next day. I have used it so many times and it just does not impress me. I so badly wanted this to work considering the hair oil is so fantastic, this one just felt kind of wrong for my hair.
I am not a huge dry shampoo user, but some days, I definitely need a good spray, especially on the front section of my hair. I always felt it made my hair more heavy and never really satisfyingly clean. It does not leave any white residue on the hair, which is definitely a plus. It only works when my hair is not too dirty and that too I am left wanting for more. So, this dry shampoo really did not work for me. Â I just use it to make my hair smell good because I love the fragrance and it stays.
