This happens to be my first cushion eyeliner and was totally excited to try it. Cushion products are a new trend and here are my views about one of them. Let’s see how P2 Long-Wear Cushion Glossy Liner Waterproof fared.

My Experience with P2 Long-Wear Cushion Glossy Liner Waterproof:

The packaging is really good. It comes in a small, all-black pot. The pot has the entire cushion with the product. The lid is a screw-on type; it is tall and also houses the brush. To access the brush one has to just pull out the top of the long cap. The bristles of the brush are small, flat and angled. They are perfect for creating winged eyeliner looks.

I was not expecting such a good brush and am really impressed. It’s handy and extremely easy to use. I normally do not prefer to use the brush which comes with the product. But that’s not the case here. I plan to reuse the brush once the product gets over. It is easy to get the product on to the brush. You do not have to push hard into the cushion repeatedly; once is enough. However, the product has to be applied quickly because it dries very quickly.

It is very easy to draw thick or even thin lines with the brush. The product spreads very well and is easy to work with. The product dries very easily within seconds. This can be a pro and sometimes a con. A con especially when you want to correct the line. 😉 Everything is great about this product except the color itself. The color is supposed to be black. But with just one layer it looks sheer and is nowhere close to black. It looks patchy, too.

A second layer is a must. The second layer gives a dark black glossy look. Since it dries up quickly, it’s easy to apply the second layer. I love the way my eyes look when I use this liner. The product is not sticky or does not crumble at the end of the day. It stays put the entire day. The product is not water-resistant and I prefer it that way. It’s easy to remove with makeup wipes or micellar water with a few wipes. Overall, I am satisfied with the product but wish the color pay off was better.
