My Experience with Essence The Cushion Eyeliner:

Essence The Cushion Eyeliner Review2

Essence The Cushion Eyeliner comes housed in a small glass pot with a black screw cap. The packaging of the eyeliner is similar to the other gel liners available in the market, but it doesn’t come with a brush. So, make sure to invest in a good eyeliner brush. The pot contains a black sponge which oozes out the liquid even when a little pressure is applied. Overall, the product is compact and sturdy enough to carry around in a bag or purse.

The gel liner has a runny texture. When not in use, there is no leakage from the sponge, but when you place the bottle upside-down, it stains the cap and starts leaking out. The eyeliner is jet black in color and has an amazing pigmentation. It provides a glossy finish in a single swipe. Also, the eyeliner doesn’t crumble or settle into the fine lines on my eyes.

The eyeliner dries pretty fast, which is great. However, you have to be fast while creating any eyeliner look. The product can be used to draw thick and bold lines, but while creating a winged eyeliner, the liner fades away from the outer corners of my eyes. However, I have this issue with almost every eyeliner I use and also, the product fades away from these areas first.

I have oily eyelids and this product stays for a good 6-7 hours after which it starts crumbling and flakes off into small bits. The product can be easily removed with a good cleansing oil/eye makeup remover. Also, you don’t have to apply much pressure to remove the liner from your eyelids. The product isn’t a waterproof eyeliner because of which it fades away sooner. So, this cushion eyeliner can be a good summer product but won’t work well during monsoons. Overall, it is a good, budget-friendly eyeliner.
