Patanjali Herbal Suhag Teeka Review

How are you all? As I was looking for some products in my stash to review, I saw a product which was lying unnoticed for a very long time. Yes, it is Patanjali Suhaag Teeka or Herbal Sindoor. I got it as a gift in a Haldi-Kumkum ceremony at my friend’s place. I used it a few times and then, forgot about it. I use sindoor on an everyday basis, and till date, Lakme Jewel Sindoor has been my favourite. Even my husband knows that I use only Lakme Sindoor (yes, it is worth mentioning because it is really a big thing 😛 ). So, let’s get started with the review of Patanjali Suhaag Teeka.

My Experience with Patanjali Herbal Suhag Teeka:

Patanjali Herbal Suhag Teeka comes in a transparent plastic cover and cardboard packaging. It has a maroon and golden plastic body and comes with a transparent plastic cap. The packing is ordinary yet sturdy. It works with a retractable twist-up mechanism. It is easy to use and non-messy as well. It is a nice maroon coloured sindoor with tiny golden particles. It has a mild herbal fragrance to it. However, the smell fades away after few minutes of application.

Patanjali Herbal Suhag Teeka is nicely pigmented that provides a rich maroon colour in one swipe. The stick glides smoothly over the skin and doesn’t feel waxy. I love to draw a triangle with it on my forehead. If left undisturbed, it does stay all day long. The colour fades a little with a few splash of water, but definitely, the sindoor is not smudge proof. However, in summers, it smudges with sweat. It didn’t irritate my skin; I didn’t get any rashes or itchiness after using this. It claims to contain herbal ingredients which is true to a certain extent.

I like the fact that at this price, it does a decent job. Ladies who don’t mind reapplying sindoor twice or thrice might not have an issue with this. I also use it to apply a tilak or bindi on some occasions as it is far better than the powder ones. It is safe to use on kids as well. I can draw a tilak evenly with it, and there are no fallout issues, unlike the powder ones. So, this is an added advantage. It is easy to wash off and doesn’t leave any stain behind. Over the time, the tip doesn’t remain sharp enough to draw small designs. At this price, I don’t think it would provide more benefits; it is not a dud product at all. Overall, it is a simple stick sindoor with a good pigmentation.
