Physician’s Formula Eye Enhancing Gel CreamLiner – Brown Eyes

Hello!

Today I’ll be reviewing Physician’s Formula Shimmer Strips Custom Eye Enhancing Gel CreamLiner in Brown Eyes. (phew, that’s a mouthful!)

I am very picky about my eyeliners. I don’t like to use pencils since I find that they disappear after an hour. Liquid liners are a big no-no for me since my hands aren’t very steady, instead of a smooth line I get zig zags. I’ve been hooked on gel liners for a long time. They are perfect.
Physician’s Formula CreamLiner is a gel formula. It comes in three variations: brown eyes, blue eyes, and green eyes. I like that they’ve taken into consideration the different needs of women with different eye colors. I also love (and I do mean LOVE) that you get three colors of eyeliner in one package. How great is that?

“3 Custom Shades = 3 Custom Looks” they say. It’s perfect. You can mix up the colors or use them single, anyway you want. The product also comes with a brush, so you don’t need a separate one. They’ve thought of everything really.

For three liners and a brush I think it’s pretty reasonably priced at $10.95 (around Rs.596).
The eyeliners are super creamy and very easy to apply. They practically glide on my skin. All three colors are very pigmented, double application is completely unnecessary. It’s also true to the claim of being water-resistant. My attempts at correcting a mistake with a wet Q-tip fail miserably every time. That stuff is not budging without makeup remover. Which is good since it lasts on my upper lid (without setting with eye shadow or powder) without smudging for a good eight hours.
Smudge Test:

2pm, right after application:

6pm, after attempting to rub liner off without water:

9am next morning, after washing hands several times and going to bed with it on:

Would you look at that? 19 hours and you can still see the eyeliner. Smudge test passed!
The best part of all is that it’s hypoallergenic. Being a person who gets allergic reactions to a lot of cosmetics, this is a big deal for me. It’s going around my eyes, I need it to be safe.

The only problem I have with this product is that I can’t apply it on my waterline. I always use eyeliner on my waterline, and my L’Oreal gel liner has been doing a good job staying. But Physician’s Formula Cream Liner is too creamy to stay there. I’ve tried setting it with eye shadow but the color just slides off as soon as I blink.

  1. I almost picked this from Ulta last weekend…then realized that I have too many eyeliners and kept it back :(….I so wanted this after seeing it in Emiley’s annual awards video..

  2. Wow.. u made my task easy dear.. m getting this gel liner now. I ws searching for a gel liner so long.. thank god ur post came in right time.. 🙂

    1. I know, it’s so sad when we can’t get these products here. But maybe try Maybelline or L’Oreal gel liners. They’re pretty good, and you get them in India very easily

  3. I got it off Amazon. They ship to India now. But fair warning, the shipping charges are only worth it if you’re buying a lot of products
