Hello gorgeous ladies!

It is a no brainer that the summers are going to be really hot and all I have in my mind right now is to stock up on stuff that can cool me down from inside out. I have never had any major skin issues, but I am always very sceptical and never use any face packs or masks until they are made of something from my kitchen. Also, I am not very fanatic about such treatments, only twice a month is more than enough for me. Also, I make sure I use seasonal fruits while making packs at home in order to reap maximum benefits. So, in this post I have jot down some refreshing home made face packs for summer!

Refreshing Homemade Face Packs for Summer

An All Purpose Papaya Pack

What Do You Need:
• A small ripened papaya
• ½ tsp Honey
• ½ tsp Lemon juice

How to Prepare:
1. Peel the papaya and cut into chunks. Also, remove all the seeds.
2. Blend it to make a paste.
3. Add honey and lemon juice to it.
4. Mix well and apply it to face leaving the area around your eyes.
5. Leave it on for 15 minutes and rinse with cold water.

Benefits:
• Papaya is very rich in antioxidants that help with the removal of old dead skin and stimulate the growth of new ones.
• Lemon exfoliates and tones the skin.
• Honey works wonders as a moisturizer.

One of the worst things about summers is skin tanning. Tanning not only soaks up the moisture from our skin, it makes our skin dull, lifeless and dark too. So, here is that one face pack that can effectively cure tanning and burning.

Packs to Remove Sun Tan

Curd and Watermelon Pack

What Do You Need:
• 1/4th cup curd
• 5-6 almonds
• A slice of watermelon.

How to Prepare:
1. Hang the curd in a thin cotton cloth. This will remove all the excess water and give you a dry chunk of yoghurt.
2. Soak the almonds in water overnight and then peel and grind them into a paste.
3. Prepare 1/4th cup watermelon juice.
4. Beat these three in a bowl together using a spoon. Do not use any blender or it will turn too watery.
5. Apply this paste evenly on your face and neck and leave it on for around 15-20 minutes.
6. Before washing it off rub it gently on your skin in circular motion for a minute or two and then rinse with cold water.

Benefits:
• Almonds will exfoliate the skin gently.
• Watermelon will work as a coolant.
• Yoghurt will soften and moisturise and also soothe the irritated skin.

Mango Pack

What Do You Need:
• Mango slices – peeled and cut into pieces.
• 1 tsp sugar
• 3 tsp Argan oil.

How to Prepare:
1. Mix all the three ingredients in a bowl using your hands and a spoon. Blender might turn it into a juice so that’s a total no-no!
2. Mix well to prepare a paste.
3. Apply the paste evenly all over your face and neck.
4. Leave it on for 15 minutes.
5. Rinse off with cold water.

Benefits:
• Mango works wonders for removing tan and brings a glow to the skin.
• Sugar works as an exfoliant.
• Argan oil moisturizes the skin.

Note : People who have oily skin can be moderate with argan oil.

Milk And Honey Pack

What Do You Need:
• 3 tbsp Milk
• 1 tbsp honey
• 1 tbsp lemon juice

How to Prepare:
1. Mix all three in a bowl.
2. Apply it on your face and neck using a cotton pad or even your fingers.
3. Let it dry for 10-15 minutes.
4. Rinse off with cold water.

Benefits:
• Milk and lemon work as a bleaching agent.
• Honey will moisturize it.
