Revlon Micropure Slimliner Sapphire Blue Review

Hi girls,

I love eyeliners and specially the coloured ones. They instantly open your eyes and add a glam touch. I am yet to master the liquid ones, but I wear the pencil ones almost every day. Infact, I have the coloured pencil liners in almost all shades 😛 . Today’s review is one on such liner. Please read on further to find out how it fared on me.

My Take on Revlon Micropure Slimliner Sapphire Blue:

It comes in an all blue coloured pencil case packaging. Once opened, there is a white coloured eye pencil inside. The long elongated cap fits snuggly onto the pencil. It is quite a travel friendly packaging, the only glitch being no sharpener. Since it is a sharpenable liner, the company could have provided a sharpener along with it.

Coming on to the colour, true to its name, it’s a beautiful sapphire blue shade, which brightens my face. It will flatter on all skin tones, but fair skinned beauties shall rock the shade. Albiet it’s a beautiful shade, but it doesn’t stay put for very long. I have oily lids and after half an hour or so, it starts to transfer on to the upper eye lid area. In three hours time, you will find it fading unevenly and after some more time only bits and pieces of the shade would be visible that too in the lighter hues.

The texture however is quite creamy and while application there is no tugging or pulling. One swipe gives a lighter blue shade and the intensity can be easily built up with multiple swipes, but the problem is that the colour does not stay intact. It keeps transferring. I accidently happened to touch my eye lid and the liner smudged instantly . I once applied it on the water line and my eyes stung badly and turned red . I also splashed water just to check if it was water proof and the liner failed that test too.

Would I repurchase/recommend Revlon Micropure Slimliner Sapphire Blue?

It is an easily dupable shade and with the variety of coloured eye pencils available these days, why would one want to compromise on any aspect. I would neither buy it again nor would recommend it.
