Happy New Year! Well, it is the beginning of a new financial year, right? Wishing you all a great 2018-19. I have reviewed a handful of shades from the Stila Glitter and Glow line. I have one more shade for you today – Next to Notte. So, let us see if this one performed as well as the other shades in this line.

Product Description:
This brilliantly long-wearing sparkle eye shadow combines the perfect mix of pearl and glitter to lavish eyes with incredible luster and shimmer. Ingredients:
-Triethanolamine: Creates a barrier between your skin and the pearls to maximize comfort for barely-there wear.
-Glycerin: Conditioning ingredient known to hydrate the skin.
Water, Mica (Ci 77019), Aluminum Calcium Sodium Silicate, Calcium Sodium Borosilicate, Hydroxyethyl Acrylate/Sodium Acryloyldimethyl Taurate Copolymer, Polyethylene Terephthalate, Squalane, Polysorbate 60, Caprylyl Glycol, Hexylene Glycol, Phenoxyethanol, Glycerin, Triethanolamine, Carbomer, Silica. (+/-) Iron Oxides (Ci 77491, Ci 77499), Titanium Dioxide (Ci 77891), Tin Oxide (Ci 77861).
Packaging:
The liquid eyeshadow comes packaged in a lip gloss type of packaging – except for the fact that the tube is cuboid instead of cylindrical. It has a doe foot type of applicator which allows easy dispensing and application of the product. The good thing is that tube has a silicon stopper at its neck which ensures that too much product does not get dispensed out at one go which really helps.
Also, it would prevent the product coming into contact with air too much. The applicator works well for applying the eyeshadow on the lid. However, if you need to use the eyeshadow as a liquid liner – you will need to use a fine tip brush form your collection. The product comes packed in a golden cardboard box. Overall, the packaging is functional and aesthetically appealing.
My Experience with Stila Glitter and Glow Liquid Eye Shadow Next To Notte:
Shade:
The shade has been described by the company as “Oxblood/Dark Berry, pink glitter”. The base shade is a medium to deep, dull, warm berry shade, which has bright cool-toned pink glitter particles suspended in it. Together, they make for an interesting combination. I felt the base shade can thin out. Would suggest using this as a topper on another powder/cream eyeshadow rather than on its own. While most of the shades that I reviewed earlier were fairly neutral, this one is distinctly colourful, so needs to be paired a bit more carefully to go with similar shades.
Texture:
The eyeshadow applies evenly even though the base shade can thin out. It is equally easy to build it up. It takes less than a minute to dry down. This gives you ample play time to blend the edges softly with your fingers or with a synthetic brush. Despite the high shine, it did not seem to accentuate texture on my lid. I found it fairly easy to work with.
The best part is that since the glitter is suspended in a homogeneous creamy base it did not seem to have much fall out during the course of wear, which is excellent for a glitter product. I did not seem to have any issue with applying it as a top coat. However, while applying it as an eyeliner or an all over the lid shadow, it takes a little effort to get an even application as the base shade is quite thin.
Pigmentation:
Pigmentation is quite good. You can see the swatch – the base colour can be built up and is distinct. The shadow can be used in its full glory or sheered out – as one desires.
Staying Power:
Disclaimer – I apply eyeshadows with a primer for my lids are way too oily. I get about 9-10 hours of wear with barely any fallout. This is phenomenal for a glitter product.

• Did not sting my eyes or cause irritation
• Hardly any fallout
• Does not need a glitter glue as a base
• Travel-friendly
• Can be used as a liner, eyeshadow or topper
Cons of Stila Glitter and Glow Liquid Eye Shadow Next To Notte:
• I wish it were waterproof
• The base colour sheers out easily

This is a very pretty shade. However, if you are new to this type of product, I would suggest to pick up one of the more neutral shades in the range rather than this because those are easier to pair and you can get much more use out of them – than this particular shade.
